The Jeffrey Court slate mosaic tile was a great match to the slate hearth we had done years before when we had a wood burning fireplace insert installed in a fire place opening here. We had closed off the opening and found that there was a problem when our foundation had been poured, and the two sides were off by about an inch. We did our best to flatten out the wall, but when we had done all we could do to make the wall straight, we found that larger tiles would not lay flat, so these small tiles were the perfect solution. An electric fireplace will stand here in place of the old fireplace.
The tiles were very easy to install and the varying colors could tie in with many color choices. We only needed to cut a few small pieces of tile, using tile nippers, mostly on the corners of the matching Jeffrey Court border.
We used Tile Lab gloss sealer, also purchased at Home Depot, and it really made the colors pop. This was a very fun project after all our trial and error. We are extremely happy with our results.

pretty small tilesWe used this tile for the floor of the master shower. The tiles are pretty small. I thought it would help make it easier to install. But there's some large grout areas, esp. by the drain. The tile is too small to cut. A 2 inch tile or larger would have been better.

Not a good choiceMultiple squares popped off the sheet after installation and needed to be replaced. Even worse, some of the tiles split in half after installation but were already stuck, causing low spots. Finally, some of the tiles have a metallic sheen which wore away after a few months.

Great accent with my ceramic tileI used this for an accent strip around the wall in my bathroom. My bathroom has dark grey tiles on the floor and white grey tiles on the wall that have all the colors on this mosaic slate. I put the white grey tiles up a about 3 feet on my wall then used a strip of the mosaic slate, 3 tiles wide, around the whole room, Then went up one more tile of the white grey tile. It looks really good.
The Mosaic slate is glued to a mesh backing and it is glued really good, so none came off during the installation. The mesh is really easy to cut with scissors so It was easy to cut it 3 of the little slate tiles wide. There are 11 rows of the little slate tile on one of these wall tiles.
I applied my thin set to the wall then just pushed the strip of these slate tiles into the thinset and they stayed right in place. I was worried about grouting over them so I applied a sealer on the slate tiles before I did the grout. I grouted and got it in between all the little tiles and the grout just wiped right off with a sponge.
I have tiled before but I am not a professional but my bathroom looks great using these mosaic slate wall tiles as an accent around the wall. So that means they really weren't very hard to use.

Looks good as an accent/border.These were used as accent strips and door sills with some 18-inch porcelain tiles. The colors are nice. Almost all the 1-foot-square mosaic tiles had at least one significantly flawed piece. Seem OK after being installed and grouted.
