Good Value
I didn't have any current jobs going where I had a metal-cutting need, so I just did some test cutting at home with this blade versus a more-expensive diamond blade that I had on hand.
In cutting steel conduit, threaded rod and some bar stock, this blade was maybe 20% slower cutting than the other brand, but otherwise cuts were pretty much on par. Now, given that the other blade cost about 50% more than this Whirlwind one, if longevity ends up being the same, I'd say this is a pretty good value.
As I had some kicking around, I also tried cutting some larger-diameter PVC conduit. In this, cutting speed was about the same, but this blade did not give quite the clean cut that the premium one did, with its finer diamonds. If cutting PVC conduit or pipe was my primary application, I'd probably say pay the premium, to avoid having to dress each cut.
I did note it stated somewhere that this blade should have the lifespan equal to 80-100 standard abrasive blades. At like $7 per for an average one locally, even if the actual lifespan of this Whirlwind blade is at the lower end, you can see easily see the savings afforded. Not to mention that hassle of having abrasive blades on hand, and changing them out frequently.

As a Interlocking contractor I have been using straight diamond edge blades to cut pavers and sol...As a Interlocking contractor I have been using straight diamond edge blades to cut pavers and solid wall blocks, I was very impressed with the cutting edge on this blade, there might be a little more waste factor because the blade is a little thicker then the diamond edges blades I been using, But it's worth it because this blade cuts through the pavers and wall block a lot quicker. Yes I would recommend and have done so already.
