Product looks good but works terrible
I bought this as an emergency since my wetsaw was in a different job site where I couldn't have access to it. This QEP saw is way too small, it vibrates way too much, shakes a lot. And can't cut porcelain. Motor it's just too weak and not strong enough to cut tile. It may cut ceramic but not porcelain.
I could only make 2 cuts before giving up. It takes too long and you have to ouch the tile very very slow or the motor will jam and the blade will stop rotating. It really suck. I don't know why it has so many good reviews. I don't know why it says in the box that cuts more than ceramic tiles. I am a contractor. Most of my work is tile. Bus I thought this will get me through my job since I only had to make about 10 cuts that I couldn't do with a manual cutter. Second cut it gave up on me. I had to go and get another one. This isn't good at all. Not worth the money or time. But yes if you just want to buy it just to say u have a wet saw .. get it but not to do some work.

Made tiling a breeze!
I bought this tile saw after having a complete failure with a score and cut tile cutter (lost almost an entire box of tile thanks to it snapping them incorrectly), and I am so happy I bought it! This saw makes straight cuts a breeze and I can even do some semi-intricate cuts. I even got brave and did some angle cuts to add some interest to the shower. The only issue I had with the saw is that sometimes it would chip little pieces of the finish off of the tile while cutting, but that could also be from the blade, which I assume isn't the highest quality. Once the tile was grouted, you really couldn't notice where it chipped. I feel more than ready to take on the next bathroom now that I have this saw.
I did note that the saw was difficult to clean, and that is because after making a number of cuts, the tile dust (or whatever comes off of it) forms quite a thick paste in the bottom where the water is. This has to be scraped out, and it's a bit hard to get all of it out of the nooks and crannies.

I have nothing to compare this to as I bought it for my first tiling project of a backsplash using domino size marble herringbone style tiles. This required MANY cuts, all on angles. While this saw isn't ideal for small tile, it worked, just depending on marked tile and close hand holding of tile through saw. The guide was pretty worthless for my small tile even when in 1 ft sq. mats. The angle guide would maybe be useful for larger tile but not for my small tile. All had to be cut by hand. Very durable motor and blade with no issues. It could use more surface space in front of blade to support tile mats. I stacked some wood blocks in front to give more support to tile mats as I cut them. Water system seemed to work well as long as you periodically rinsed/added clean water. Be prepared for a wet mess under and in front of saw. It definitely was worth the $100 not to hire someone for the project and it came out nice.

Great for small diy jobs (video included).
Let me start by saying that if you are a professional tile installer, this is not for you, but if you a diy'er that has smaller jobs around the house, this will work great for you.
This saw is extremely light and easy to move around from place to place. It comes with everything you need to.start working, and only took about ten minutes to set everything up. As far as operation, it's simple, as all uou do is add about two cups of water and start cutting.
The motor is 3/4 horsepower, but it does a good job cutting through standard tile, and will leave a smooth line each time. It also comes with a miter guage and a rip fence. I will say that the rip fence is a bit hare to line up as there is to much play, but one you get it where you want it, it will stay in place. If you have the fence off tilt just a bit, it may stall out the blade as it will wedge in you cut. I also like that it has anot extended pull out top for larger tile.
All in all, I am satisfied as I got the job done, and did not need to spend $500 on a saw. I recommend
P.so. this is also extremely easy to clean.

A Once Great Value Reduced To Useless Toy
I bought an earlier version of this QEP product about 5-6 years ago and it was a terrific value. I accurately cut hundreds of 12 x 12s. It's been redesigned to look prettier but, in the process was cheapened to the level of a child's toy. In order to line the guide up with the blade, you have to match the numbers on the rulers at both ends of the table. Now the numbers are black on black plastic instead of stamped steel. Impossible to see under most conditions but cover them with water and tile sediment and they are invisible. They also angled the far side ruler to make certain that you could not read it without going around the other side. Result - jams and poor cuts. The angle guide was cheapened from a 2 piece steel and plastic part with infinite angle adjustment to a single pastic part that is supposed to follow the guide that you can no longer line up. Result - like other reviewers, you- stop using the frustrating guides and wing every cut by eyeball.

Great value for the price
The product was very easy to set up and use. There are a couple things to be mindful of as you use it, but once you figure them out, you are good to go and this "value model" will be a great purchase.
You only have 3/4 of a HP, so jobs go a bit slowly
It only does 45 degree cuts, which is good for most, but if you need more, choose another model
the blade it comes with is good - lasted through 700 pounds of true stone with many cuts
the arm extension is excellent for supporting long pieces (like stone)
The rubber footings were great for extra grip
The guide bar is flimsy on the track, be SURE to line up BOTH SIDES
The guard is OK - as with most guards the holder portion is slightly thicker than the cut you make - especially as the blad wears down, so it can be annoying as the job goes on.
It was kind of easy to clean
If using tiles, I prefer cutting face-down (reduces surface chipping), but where the bolts are saudered on have a "bump", so be careful of scratching (I later had to use enhancer to hide the scratches)
For $89 - great buy overall. I wish I got it on sale, but am still happy with the value.

Small home DIY projects only. It worked for a kitchen backsplash although it’s difficult to handle the mosaic tiles on a mesh. Not perfect but made the job easier.

If you just need to make a few cuts and your project is small tiles like 6x6 or less or Backsplash sheets, this might do.
PROS:
Cheap, small and portable, does make a pretty good cut .. most of the time.
CONS:
Guide Fence is sloppy and can get off a straight line.
Guide Numbers are black on black and can be hard to read, keep a tape measure handy and check twice before cutting.
Hard to clean.
COMMENTS:
Don't let the "table extension" fool you, you won't be cutting large tiles on this. If you need to cut a fair amount of tile and you're tiles are 12x12 or so, I'd suggest either renting a decent size tile wet saw or buying a table top RIGID brand or similar for around $150
