This sponge did not last very long.
We did a small back splash. The sponge did not last through the job. It started falling apart. We finished the job with another sponge.

FELL APARTI put a 3x6 subway tile backsplash up (37sqft total) and the white scrub pad only made it about 1/2 through the job.

A Decent Sponge for Tile Grouting JobsI didn't really have any problems with the sponge. Using it to clean up grouting work meant I wasn't really asking it to absorb much water, so that wasn't an issue. It seemed to work just fine wiping away the haze left over from the grouting compound. The scrubbing side of the sponge didn't seem to have a great deal of scrubbing power, and by the time I finished my small shower, there were some pieces of the scrubber side that had chunked off, but only small pieces in different spots. It looked like it could still be used for another job. But, for the price, relative to the cost of all the other items used on the regrouting job, having a disposable sponge isn't an enormous loss.
All in all, I thought it was worth the price and it did what I asked it to do.

This 'SCRUBBING SPONGE' is the worst thing I've used in over 30 years in the construction trades....pure GARBAGE !The Brutus Scrubbing Sponge repels more water than it absorbs, smears instead of picking up and the scrubby white part falls off before you are half way through trying to wipe and scrub. WORTHLESS PIECE OF WORTHLESS GARBAGE!

I am tiling my master bedroom shower right now, and I needed a good durable sponge to use to clea...I am tiling my master bedroom shower right now, and I needed a good durable sponge to use to clean the dry grout off of the tiles. This sponge is a nice size (approximately 5x7 inches) and is 2 sided: one soft sponge side (yellow colored) for general all-purpose use, and one side (white) with a thicker scrubber pad surface on it. It has smooth rounded edges too, which helps to minimize the "digging out" of the grout lines when your cleaning the tiles.

This sponge strong and can take being rung out over and over again. The scrubbing side is abrasive enough to break down the sticky grout left on the tile so you are not just smearing the grout over the tile. I like these sponges for cleaning up marble counter tops and floor tiles. The thickness is perfect for holding the right amount of water in the sponge and absorption.

Grout & Scrubbing SpongeDoes not absorb like an ordinary sponge. Purchased to bail water from inside a kayak and occasional cleaning while on the water. Does not pick-up/hold water like an ordinary sponge will do. Have not tested durability in its intended use but I can extrapolate that the inability to effectively absorb water effectively will hinder use as intended.
