Traffic Master warranty is worthless and Home Depot does not back up this poor product. I owned this flooring for 6 years. It looked awful after just 3 years. Contacted Traffic Master at year 3 and did everything they recommended to fix and it didn’t work. At year 6 I couldn’t stand it anymore and filed a warranty claim with Traffic Master. They made me jump thru quite a few hoops to prove the flooring was defective and eventually denied my supposedly ‘Life Time Warranty’. Flooring was supposed to hold up to just about anything. My issue was just simple scuff marks that wouldn’t go away using Traffic Masters guidance and recommended remedies. I went through the trouble to send them samples of the damaged flooring and they even admitted the flooring was permanently damaged from scuff marks, but since their recommended methods to remove scuff marks didn’t work I must have abused it or did something wrong. Really??? My household consists of 2 senior adults and 2 yorkie dogs! Bottom line, DON’T buy this flooring.

Nice looking floor
This floor was fairly easy to put in. I put this in the entire house as a continuous floor, which may be why I had some problems. It is difficult to cut around doorways and such. It is also very difficult when you are not in a square room, as you try to put in new pieces it can pull out the seems 10ft away. It was impossible to keep the seams completely together. I do have some very slight gaps that are only noticeable to me. They are together enough to seal out moisture.
If this floor lasts for 10 years or more I will be very happy. The color hides dirt very well...and dog hair( 2 yellow labs), which is why I chose this color/style. It is easy to clean and looks great, you definately need a jigsaw to cut around doorways. Tracing on paper, then on the tile is the easiest way. A utility knife works for the most part, but if the cut is too small or not straight you need the jig.
After you get the first two rows down it gets easier, as you will struggle getting the seams to stay together in those first couple of rows before it is stabilized.

Good results for the price and time involved
Completed a bathroom floor (8x10) in about 8 hours (taking my time). Installation was not quite as easy as described but not that hard once you get the hang of it. I found a rubber mallet invaluable along with a block of 1/2-inch oak to persuade the pieces for a tight fit. Cutting was easy but after scoring a piece a fair amount of force is needed to snap the pieces apart. For curves and corners it helped to use the paper dividers that came between tiles to cut a template. I used a coping saw for cut lines that could not be snapped and that was easy to do. I used one utility knife blade per box. When fitting the last pieces, where the block and mallet can't be used, I placed cedar shims between the tile and wall (and tub in my case) and tapped the ends together so the shims pushed the tile, closing up the seam on the other side of it. Sometimes I pounded a seam with the mallet to close a tiny gap which worked and caused no visible damage to the tile. The end results were very good.

Many of the reviews complain about difficulty of installation of this product. A power saw (jig saw) makes cutting the product considerably easier than using a utility knife. Bumping the seams together as the tile are installed makes for a perfect fit. I like the "drop-lok" feature for joining the ends together. The product is considerably more durable than a laminate and does not have the bouncy feel of laminate flooring. In addition, it is water resistant. I only wish it was carried as an "in-store stock item". It makes it difficult to sell to a client when they cannot see the entire pattern. I had to pay for and order a selection of the travertine samples. I have not had occasion to need the woodgrain samples but suspect I could sell more of the product if it was more readily available. It takes a couple of weeks to get the product and then one must allow the product to acclimate for at least 3 days in the room in which it is to be installed. I have installed a couple thousand square feet of the Allure Ultra with no client complaints. Take your time installing it and it will last a long time.

Good solution for covering an old bathroom floor
I am a professional carpenter. So far I have used this product on 3 different bathroom floors, to cover worn outdated tile. Clients are very pleased with the results. And it saves a lot of time and money if you are not ready to rip out the old floor and start from scratch.
The allure itself is very easy to work with; the only tools needed are a utility knife, a pencil, and a white rubber mallet (to help coax the tiles into snapping together). The only potential difficulty with this product is that it is absolutely essential that the floor this is going over is smooth and level. I used LevelQuik self-leveling underlayment, which requires mixing, pouring, and allowing a day to dry/cure before the Allure flooring is installed. This adds time to the job, but is essential is bumpy or uneven. You need to insure that the floor lays flat so it does not pop apart after installation.

I just finished installing this in our kitchen and laundry area, about 400 ft2. I put it on top of sheet vinyl that had been there 25 years. It took about 20 hours, patience, and some Motrin. We like the look of it, the chairs slide across it easily, it cleans easily, it is soft to walk on and it has some thermal insulation to it, making it feel warmer in cold weather. If you are installing it, consider how many corners and odd shape areas you have. You will spend most of the time on the odd places, cutting the tile to fit. In open areas it goes down very quickly. I had to learn the hard way to fit it together carefully rather than bash it together with a mallet, I broke the edges of a box of tile. You sometimes need to push and wiggle the long edge to get tong and groove together. Then you need to tap it with a mallet to snug the joint, but it should be very close to start with. Use sharp blade to cut and don't press hard.

One of the best purchases we have recently made, along with a brand new toilet, vanity, bathroom mirror, medicine cabinet, wall cabinet, towel bar set etc. We were worried most about this Traffic Master Allure Ultra flooring. Some of the reviews were less the favorable, and we were worried about installation.
However, worried for no reason. This was the easiest floor for my husband to put in, he kept saying, why did people have a hard time with this floor, it is so easy to put it. He had no trouble at all, and has put down many other floors. This was the easiest, and looks fantastic.
We love the look of this flooring, and it cleans so easily. Waterproof, great looking, easy to take care of, what more could you want. And no nasty dirty grout lines to worry about.
And a look of Travertine, we got the ivory travertine, and are so happy, the others in my opinion were too light, this gives a bit of pop, with some color very pretty, and will match easily with other colors. You have some darker and lighter mix in the pattern, to reflect the look of travertine. Love it, and believe me if you know how to put down flooring, this floor was so easy to put down. We are very happy with our choice. But I also have the right tools, the right tools for the job, does make a difference.

Superior floor that looks fantastic
We chose to do the 110 sq. ft. floor of our mudroom and pantry with Allure Ultra Aegean Travertine because of its high performance and durability in high traffic and potentially damp areas such as bathrooms. In our case wet shoes or snowy boots. This room is also high traffic as it is our most used entry from garage to the house. The floor was fairly easy to install. I had to pay close attention to locking of the seams. Highly recommend getting the Allure tapping block made of a tough solid nylon plastic material with groves to match the edge that needs tapping( long edges). Also used a rubber mallet to tap & seal short seam edges. I read directions thoroughly. Had bought underpayment but directions were explicit NOT to use an underpayment so I did not use. Can see now that tapping seams so hard would not be good over soft underlayment. Floor looks incredible and beautiful. If I ever need to redo my bathroom floors I will choose this product.
