The ELIANE Alverstone Ivory 12 in. x 24 in. Glazed Porcelain Floor and Wall Tile is a contemporary take of the stone look. Alverstone features a harmonic fusion of natural stone designs on an attractive neutral ivory color. Anti-slip surface yields to covered outdoor applications or indoors that may require an extra grip. It has a low sheen with a textured, glazed finish.

I purchased this tile for my bathroom floor. One of the features that drew me was its slightly rough texture, which was ideal in preventing falls. Now that the floor is finished and I have lived with it for a few weeks, I can attest that the texture is great for a bathroom and I feel much more secure stepping out of the shower compared to the previous floor tiles I had. The texture can be described as sandy, but it isn't so rough that it makes walking barefoot painful--as a matter of fact, the tiles feel nice underfoot. The only negative is that the floor is a bit more difficult to clean. I had to clean up some dirt and buildup after installation and I realized that regular mopping didn't work on removing the dirt. I need to use a brush or a scrubbing pad to spot clean the floors before mopping. Because my bathroom floor is about 15 square feet, that is not that big of a deal. However, this may be a more significant problem if you were planning on using this tile for the floors of a high traffic area.
