Wish it were free, but decent sample set
The photos on the HD website aren't the best, so I took a shot at adding a few for you.
Golf: Very dense and compact. Putting green smooth. A bit scratchy feeling (walking in bare feet would be fine but wouldn't wanna lay on it)
Deluxe: Pretty sad when compared to Ultima or Premium. I'd save a bit more for one of those, IMHO
Rye: The softest of all of them. Shorter and denser with a smaller grass fiber. A 2-tone fiber medium green with tan underneath. My personal favorite
Ultima: Tall fibers that tend to flop over (but I've got no sand in the sample to help hold the fibers up). It has a nice dense, short fiber layer underneath the taller stuff, so even if you look through the taller fibers, you don't see black rubber mat. Darker green and softer than Premium
Premium: Tall fibers with a curly underlayer. My favorite of the taller varieities like Ultima, Premium or Standard. Stiffer fibers that are narrower than Ultima. A bit more 'spring' green (lighter tone) than Ultima.
Standard: Again... look to the Premium or Ultima. Softer fibers, but the others are much more dense. No under-layer, so you can see the black mat through the blades.

Should not have to buy samplesNice samples, just wish I wouldn't have had to spend money and wait for samples. What ever happened to displaying samples in the store? Home Depot really needs to integrate their online, phone and store operations.

Good to useThe samples arrived in good order and helped prove that this brand holds up better than others. After laying them out in the yard for a few weeks under hot Texas sun, my dog dog urinating on them (took some time to do successfully), and me trying to pull the grass blades out... they passed all tests! However, this line of grasses has a lime green tint and loos more artificial than others (in my opinion).

SAMPLES ARE A GOOD IDEA FOR COMPARISONDIFFERENT STYLES & PRICES FOR EVERY BUDGET. COMPARING IS HELPFUL IN MAKING A DECISION. I EASILY WAS ABLE TO CHOOSE WHICH TURF I WILL ORDER [ RYE ] BECAUSE IT WAS THE MOST NATURAL LOOKING & SOFT TO THE TOUCH

It looks real!I ordered a sample kit of the Real Grass synthetic turf grass products for Standard, Deluxe, Rye, Premium and Golf. I could compare the different grasses so I chose the product Rye for its dual color blade structure, more natural and realistic appearance, it is softer than grass. Shipping was awesome, they sent me the samples promptly.

Not LabeledI received the samples and none of the tags are labeled which grass is which so I am no further along in knowing what product I like best because I have no idea what it is named.

Do not buy samplesAfter receiving samples I spent over half an hour on the longer grass samples trying to get them to stand up. They were persistently laying down, it would be virtually impossible to get a large area to stand upright to make it appear to be alive.
