solid performance by Home Depot
I bought two pieces of Carrara marble trim tile. They arrived on time, carefully packed, and unbroken. However, if you had handed them to me in a shop and asked me to guess the type of marble, Carrara would have been my last guess (well, right before Emperador). They're plain white, no gray, no veins. Of course it's foolish to complain that they don't look like the picture - natural products have significant variations - but I am disappointed that they look nothing whatsoever like the Carrara field tiles I am putting them next to (or any other Carrara I have seen). Obviously I knew when I placed the order that I would not be able to hand-select my pieces, and I don't think someone maliciously shipped me un-Carrara-like pieces. But given that this item is obviously decorative in nature and high-end decoration at that, I must conclude that Home Depot needs to stock this in stores so that customers can be sure they're getting what they need.

Classy trim tileInstalled this in our new shower. Looks very nice around Blue Zephyr glass mosaic tile insert we designed. The tile used in the shower was 4x12" Carrara marble, set in a staggered pattern. Grout color is Platinum for the marble tile and trim, Slate Gray for the mosaic, 1/8" spacing. I hand-picked the trim tile pieces from a couple of stores for the best color consistency. Many of them were yellowish, and wouldn't work with the grey color scheme. That is the only negative, overall a great tile.

I love our Home Depot, if I need help and I can run someone down they are always more than willin...I love our Home Depot, if I need help and I can run someone down they are always more than willing to help me . . . Good product but check coloring carefully before buyingDid my entire shower in carrara marble using this as the border trim on top. Make sure you carefully check each piece and hold up to different lighting before buying. Some pieces were way too gray or had yellow marbling mixed in which could look bad on your walls if you are looking for a more white/gray combo. Cutting product did not seem to be a problem for my tile guy. Overall looks good if you match pieces up right.

Jeffrey Court Carrara Marble wall accent trimUsed this marble wall trim around the niche in the shower. Gave it a nice framing. I did not install myself so I cannot speak to the ease of cutting it. But it looks great!!!

Came out great at a great priceI went to a competitor tile shop to look for ideas for my new addition bathroom and found some nice displays with carrara marble and a this type of accent trim. I bought all my tile there and then came home and decided to see if Home Depot also carried the tiles. Well I found out that Home Depot DOES carry the same tile at about 75% of the cost. So I returned the tile to the tile store and bought these site unseen online. They turned out to be as nice if not nicer than the ones I bought from the tile store. The only criticism I have for Home Depot is that they don't have extensive full bathroom displays so I wouldn't have had imaged how to combine the different tiles to achieve the look I was going for. So for those contemplating their new bath design--go look at those other stores for ideas, then buy the same or similar product for less at Home Depot.
