StarPro Centipede is our designer turf. The blades are two-tone (lawn green and beige-green) and have a natural tan component to the thatch layer which gives it a lighter and very natural appearance in the southern states. This turf heralds in a new generation of synthetic lawns that look like real grass. Realistic because it combines the old style turfs durability with two new innovations; a kinked monofilament thatch layer of textures nylon to support the blades and 1 3/4 In. tall blades of grass for a totally natural look. The turf looks like a thick freshly mowed natural lawn. No mowing, trimming, fertilizing or watering, ever! Centipede turf is UV stabilized. The backing is coated with polypropylene to add resilience and extra life. Infill (sand or tire particulate) is optional (1/2 in. - 1 in.), but adds blade support, softness and extended life. - The centipede turf has two different color blades for an incredibly natural color and real look and is UV stabilized to keep it that way. The turf backing has a black polypropylene coating which stops weeds, adds strength and gives our turf extra life.
- The turf has a dense layer of kinked polypropylene monofilament that forms a thick thatch layer to support the blades and keeps them standing erect.
- Infill is not necessary, but 1/2 in. - 1 in. of sand or tire particulate is highly recommended because it increases the support of the blades, adds weight, softness and extends life. See On-line Installation Instructions.
- Turf is perforated to drain at 50 inches per hour. Orders are in increments of 1 ft. x 15 ft. Ex: If the order is 6 in., you will receive a single 6 ft. x 15 ft. strip of turf (90 sq. ft) not six individual one foot strips.
- This is a Custom Order - orders are sold in increments of 1 ft. To order: place order and set order quantity to the desired length (ft.) of your turf. EXAMPLE: if your order is for 10 ft. you will need to add a quantity of 10 to your cart and you will receive turf that is 10 ft. in length x stated width.

Very pleased with the results! Needed a realistic "grass...
Very pleased with the results! Needed a realistic "grass " to use around paving stones in my court yard. It was a little time consuming to install because It had to be cut in strips. But it looks great and we've had people think it's actual turf when they see it.

VERY real looking grass and easy DYI projectI just installed this grass in my condo courtyard where it is too shady for regular grass and too sunny for shade grass. Nothing would grow there. This is the perfect solution for my front court yard. The before and after are unbelievable. VERY real looking with the brown "thatch" down in the grass.

A dog owner's dream grass.I ordered this on Homedepot.com and would've preferred to see it in person; however, I am very pleased with its look. It was easy to install, and looks great in my patio space. The lawn mowers almost entered my patio area to mow it, it looks so real. Easy to maintain, as pet solids scoop up easily and if necessary wash right away with the hose. I'm very pleased that I won't have brown spots as a result of having a pet. It does get quite warm in the summer sun, but is holding up well. If you have a small area and a pet, or just prefer not to mow or weed, this product is for you. My photos show a before look with rock, and an after photo with the new grass.

amazing depth if colorI had my turf delivered to my local home depot and my landscapers picked it up and installed it. I tested it. We made a zen area, an outside carpet of grass that I lie down on. This turf is soft, deep in color, looks gorgeous, not fake. It has its own thatch...it looks like a perfectly trimmed, well fertilized, well watered, healthy, bug free piece of heaven. I love it!

You don't know quite what to make of it at first glance-it appears synthetic but when...you get down to your hands and knees and spread the blades it reveals the yellow domant blades within. Very cool. It's comfortable to walk on, and my dogs love rumping around on it.
My synthetic lawn is located behind the garage in a fenced in back yard I use as an outdoor dining area. When winter arrives no one else can see it but me and mine.

looks real!I ordered this grass hoping that it would look like real grass when installed. Not only does it look real but it is very nice to walk on in bare feet. We shall see how it holds up.
