I am by no means a seasoned floor installer and managed to install it ok after I got the hang of it. A few tips: When I bought the floor, I also bought the flooring installation kit with the wall spacers, a tapping block and a wide angle pull bar. I also used a rubber mallet. When laying the plank, I would line the groove side of the plank along the tongue side of the already installed plank at about a 30 degree angle and slide it up so the end corner hits the end corner of the already installed plank (or the spacer against the wall if it's the first plank in the row). Drop the plank so it's now flat with the subfloor and tap on the side of the plank with the tapping block so the seam along the other edge is flush. Now I would tap the end with the rubber mallet to click it into place. If the end doesn't tap down flush, carefully pull the plank up and re-align it. You shouldn't have to hit it too hard. For the end planks I just used a utility knife and a square to cut to size with no problem. Now it's time for some baseboards! (:

I was unable to order the same brand and color, but this product is nearly an identical match. The edges give me a little concern, on some pieces, since they seem to be a fragile and may breakdown with traffic. Hopefully, that issue will be ok after installation, but I would recommend being very careful with the loose pieces during handling during the installation process. Also, some of the boxes had only two of the patterns instead of the four (or so) possible. That was an annoyance because a few of boxes needed to be opened and sorted for patterns. That is a space issue in a remodeling job.
Otherwise, the installation went smoothly and the floor looks good.

Pleasantly surprisedThis was one of the less expensive options for luxury vinyl, but it went together nicely over our imperfect concrete subfloor and looks beautiful. The people who complained that they couldn’t get tight seams must have not been doing it right. You just have to make sure there is absolutely no debris in there, and a gentle tap with a tapping block gets it together. Great for kiddos and kitties.

Someone said they had damaged planks. I'm on my fourth box and I haven't encountered one defective plank. Some said that the click system broke easily. I have not had that issue. I use a tap block made from one of my scrap planks. The trick is you need to tap the plank all the way down. I use a rubber mallet. Someone said, it scratched easily. Again, I have not had that issue. I dropped my pull bar and no harm done. I do suggest watching some YouTube videos for tips and tricks. It really is easy to install. I'm 59 years old and I've had no issues. It really is a beautiful floor and I will be interested in seeing how well it holds up.

HorribleI had this professionally installed recently. The minute I moved furniture in, carefully, it showed scratches. I had the same floor in a different color at a previous location and loved it. I thought the marks would come off when I cleaned it. They don’t. There are white scratches and marks all over the floor.
I tried several cleaning products and techniques. Simple mopping with floor cleaner and a bit more aggressive cleaning including nylon brush and green scrub pads. Finally, I took a scrap and tried an SOS pad to see if it would damage the floor first. It didn’t. So I tried it on the scratches. Still no change. I have white scratches all over my newly installed floor.
Don’t buy it. Get something else. I loved the other floor. Same grade and manufacturer. I have completely lost faith in this product.

The subfloor needs to be flat for an optimum job. It’s a little tricky getting started because you need to push against itself and when there’s only a couple boards, it wants to slide. I ended up putting a couple screws through the floor where the baseboard goes to keep it tight.

The one negative? It scratches easier than we thought it would. I don't have the descriptor in front of me, but I thought it was "scratch proof" and it's not... We had to go backwards and pull out some planks before we even finished installing because the floor scratched when we moved a couch across the room while installing. And later, after putting glides and felt pads and checking the bottoms of every piece of furniture, we got a 8 in scratch from sliding the breakfast nook table, and it has rubber feet with no apparent rough spots?
So yes, we like it, but next I'll be looking for a product to hide the scratches that popup out of nowhere.....

Use a speed square, heavy utility knife and cut gloves, measuring tape, and a tongue/tongue small cut scrap piece as a tapping "block". Install kit isn't necessary. Visually keep a small gap along your walls and weigh down the planks with furniture once it's square. The gap along the bottom of our walls made the spacers nearly impossible to utilize anyway! They just kept falling and moving around. The planks are good quality for the price and I have no doubt they will last many years. The engineered and laminate flooring looks and feels more real and what I originally wanted, but this stuff is FAR easier and cleaner to install (no sawing setup and sawdust mess!) so we went with this and it's waterproof unlike the wood stuff. Use it anywhere in the home but keep in mind your subfloors must be smooth and no humps, dips, popped seams, etc. Prepping the rough plywood subfloors that our house had was by far the most difficult part of the project. Get a good idea of your subfloor work before you decide to do yourself! Most people forget or don't know this but it's a crucial step, otherwise your planks will pop up and move when you step on them, especially at the seams.
