Love this look
We installed this in our kitchen and have since received compliments all around. We absolutely love it. Given that these are cut from real, natural shells, there are variations in the coloring, shading and iridescence, hence the space catches light beautifully.
We used tile snippers to cut pieces that needed trimming, and that was sometimes a bit tricky (and time consuming) as these are small and you need to trim each one individually and they tend to shoot when snipped (my husband wore safety glasses as a precaution). So, “if I had my druthers” as they say, would opt for renting a tile saw to speed up the process and make for cleaner cuts. Keep your adhesive thin or it will bleed through. (As mentioned by previous reviewer, these tiles are rather thin, so you don’t have a lot of leeway for excess and it will ooze through the spaces between.)
Was a little higher than average price-wise – but worth it. Who wants “average”?
We used a medium-gray, SANDLESS (recommended) grout to maintain the depth of the tiles (white grout would have evened out the coloring too much and would cause it to lose a lot of the depth and dimension). Uber glad we went with that color choice – makes all the difference.
A beautiful update to the look of our (otherwise, pretty old) kitchen.

Beautiful!!!Installation was pretty easy easy. Instead of using mastic I used the adhesive paper because the tiles were so thin. I cut the tiles with a Dremel saw and it worked fantastic. I get complimented constantly on how fantastic it looks. I am extremely pleased with the look.

Tile for bathroom mirror frameThis tile looks beautiful around the bathroom mirror. The idea for the frame came from a mother of pearl tile framed mirror for over a vanity. My mirror was much bigger and I debated taking it out and replacing it with the smaller mirror. Then I saw these tiles. They are expensive but it was less expensive to tile my larger mirror than purchasing the small mirror.

bathroom makeoverWe are do-it-yourselfers.
The tile was easy to cut and to work with. This tile product is so thin that it took several applications of grout, because it seemed to wipe out of the narrow, thin spaces. We are pleased with the results.

Exactly what I was looking for! This tile matches a pendant light fixture also made of shells for our cottage kitchen. We had it professionally installed as a back splash behind our sink and it looks gorgeous! Contractor said it was a little delicate but not too difficult to install. We used bright white grout to compliment our cabinetry. We could not be happier as to how it turned out. A picture is worth a thousand words...maybe dollars?
