Great color, easy install
We first tried a different pattern carpet tile (Park Avenue Steel, Internet/Catalog SKU# 203161211) but the color leaned toward the blue end of the spectrum. We returned it and purchased this EuroTile.
We purchased this for the basement to replace 20 yr old carpet tiles. We LOVE carpet tiles because if there are any spills or leaks, you can remove the affected tiles and wash/dry as needed.
Installation was a snap. I did NOT use adhesive (contrary to mfr recommendations) to affix the carpet to the cement floor. Instead, I tightly packed the tiles together and used spot adhesive on the outsides of the room where needed. We prefer to pick up the tiles quickly with no mess, if needed.
We tried three different patterns of placing the tiles in the room.
1. We tried perfect alignment, where we tried to continue the pattern seamlessly throughout the room. This was difficult because the repeat was just a little bit off.
2. We kept the carpet lines parallel, but flipped the tiles so it looked like the installation photo on the HD web site.
3. We settled on a checkerboard pattern because it added some funk to the room.
The carpet tiles cut very easily with a utility knife and the whole room installed quickly. The other half of the basement is almost prepped, so we'll be purchasing another 3 boxes.

The overall carpet tile is of good quality but we noticed one thing the manufacturer could/should...The overall carpet tile is of good quality but we noticed one thing the manufacturer could/should improve on to give the customer other options for how they are placed on the floor. The installation requires alternating the tile/line direction back and forth in a crisscross pattern using the pile direction arrows on the back-side of each tile for congruency. These tiles cannot be installed with the lines all matching up in a straight line since each piece is cut out differently. So a bold black line on one piece (for example) may be positioned a quarter to a half inch or more off on the next piece, etc., etc. Very few of these tiles will line up with each other for the lines running through them. With that, there is only one viable way to install them to look good....alternating the direction of the lines as they are glued down. It is unclear on why the manufacturer did not cut out each tile to be identical to the next but is clearly an error in the manufacturing process.

Looks greatI bought this for an office space in my home. I put it down in a checkered board pattern and it has a nice industrial look to it. It was easy to install. Other carpet tiles I've used had adhesive on the back but these don't. They seem to be staying down just fine on my cement floor though. I'm sure you could use a little spray adhesive if needed. It's a thin, but not flimsy, tile so if you're looking for cushy like regular carpet with padding underneath, this is not it. Overall I am quite pleased with it.

Satisfactory for a basement floorWas disappointed that Home Deport did not have the adhesive in stock for this product either in store or on line. Had to purchase some elsewhere. Was very satisfied with the adhesive I purchased: MAPEI ECO 810. An adhesive that cleans up with soap and water. Unbelievable! It was very easy to work with and clean up.
Carpet tiles are easy to work with and fit around doorway molding. The tiles did not always fit perfectly together, but the small gaps are not noticable when standing up.
I have finished 465 sq ft. and have 253 sq. ft. left to lay.

great look!We are a contracting company and wanted to update our lobby and offices. These carpet tiles look great! Major improvement over the standard office grade carpet we replaced. The moment you walk in the first thing you notice is how sharp the floor is. Install was done by semi professional and he had no problems. We tried a darker color (Seabed) and it was too dark. We chose Slate. Will be ordering an extra box just in case of stains and if they discontinue this color. We looked at more expensive options and Home Depot had better choice and quality!

Feels great underfootI was worried initially that this carpet would be very thin and uncomfortable, but it feels soft and great on bare feet. I put this carpet in my sunroom (about 160 sq ft). Installation was quick and relatively simple. I highly recommend if you are looking for an easy to vacuum carpet if you have a room for pets.
