Have installed several times now
It first started with our bathroom, then a friends kitchen, and this year we did another bathroom. Overall if you want something that looks nice and is faster then conventional tile, this is the way to go. I used a wet saw for cutting and had no issues at all. As for concerns about price, I have been a DIY guy for a long time and have done conventional tile. After you buy the mud board, lay it, buy the thinset and tools and put it down and then the slow pace of the tile and grouting the finished floor this is by far the best way to go. Dollar for Dollar it is a bit more expensive on the top end but what it saves in prep and your time is well worth the cost. Only suggestions to SnapStone would be smaller tubs of the grout for smaller area projects and stop putting the instruction sheet between every tile. They stick to rubber and are a pain to remove. Wax Papar between the tiles would be fine to protect the finish. I would love a true black and a true white tile for my 50's themed kitchen!

This is terrific for straight large areas. The preset grout lines really make it easy to lay down the tiles without spending extra time to put in spacers and continually make sure they stay in place. A couple things to note: the snap together feature while convenient takes a little practice, so make sure that you play with it ahead of time and you will need a soft hammer to ensure the tile snap together; when making cuts you will have to make sure that the snap grooves are properly lined up so that you can connect the cut tiles, which causes extra waste, so be sure to order extra; at the walls especially with small pieces snapping the tile in is challenging and you will need a crowbar or something to leverage the tile into place; last thing is cutting...the plastic snap cage on the bottom of the tile will wear down your saw blade and after a bit you'll need another blade so that when you cut the tile the cuts are clean and smooth.

This flooring is so beautiful and durable. We have it in 2 of our bathrooms and love it so much we put it on our enclosed porch floor. It's so easy to wipe up and keep clean plus it's waterproof. No worries of it getting scratched or spotted with weather tracking. I would definately recommend this flooring!!

Easy to install but disappointed that several tiles were damaged. I used them as cut off pieces. Follow the directions and clean up every five or six tiles! Ours turned out great!

BUYER BEWARE
I put in this system with a heated flooring option, made sure everything was right, all the joints sealed, and all of the grout in with caulk around the edges.
After about a month after the installation I had a small sewage back flow (maybe 2 gallons of water). Water proceeded to seep through the grout, mold the heater pad and all the underlayment.
I called Snapstone and they couldn't believe their product had a defect. They also told me that this product SHOULD NOT BE INSTALLED AROUND MOISTURE. I had to tear up the entire floor i had just installed and deal with re-flooring all over again.
The most they would do is send me a bucket of grout ( 6 weeks after the incident had happened and I had already installed traditional tiles)
Not so frustrated with the product as I am with the company. They believe in their products more than their customers.
The tiles looked great, installed easy, but they are not a quality long term solution for a bathroom floor.

Fantastic product
This is a fantastic product. I used SnapStone to tile our laundry room floor and it was the first, and so far, only tiling project I have done. This system made my work look like it was done by a professional. There was no hassling with thin set and the joints came out perfectly uniform and level.
The customer service at SnapStone is awesome. They were very accessible by phone and were willing to take their time to talk me through all of my questions. Joe even gave me his cell number and encouraged me to call any time I had a question, which I did at least three times.
I won't say it was easy but if you follow the instructions, take your time with layout and have a solid floor that meets the requirements for deflection, your project should turn out looking as if it were done by a pro.

The installation process is amazingly easy. The only problem I had is I feel like the product is a bit fragile. With traditional tile, you would mortar to the base board but in this case, you are floating. I dropped my measuring tape twice from standing height and cracked two tiles, thus having to unsnap the tiles to get back at them.
I worry about what happens when I'm done and drop something after everything is grouted. There will be no way to cut that piece out and secure it to other tiles. It will be only secured by grout. You won't be able to access the tabs.
Seems like a heavy price to pay for tile that really only saves you in labor. Pricing it out, traditional methods are still cheaper by about $1.50-$2.00 a foot, but this installation is WAY quicker. I just hope I don't regret this down the road. I'd recommend it but with this reservation.

Looking good after four years
I installed this in my kitchen about four years ago. It was a DIY project. We were diligent about getting the wood floor underneath as level and planar as possible and that took the bulk of the effort. The snapstone itself was easy to put together and grout. Four years on still looks great.
