The Jeffrey Court Fortress Splitface tile gives slight shade variation and unglazed surface to your walls, creating a distinctive texture. It can be used next to stone or ceramic field tiles (sold separately) and can be used as a whole sheet or cut into strips. Penetrating sealers recommended before grouting. Recommend white polymer modified thin set and non-sanded grout for best installation results.

  • 1.09 square foot per piece, each piece sold individually; piece weight equals 5.25 lb.
  • Grade 1, first-quality marble mosaic tile for wall use
  • 12.5 in. width x 12.5 in. length x 8 mm thick mesh mounted mosaic
  • Finish is unglazed, with a smooth high sheen and slight shade/tone variation
  • P.E.I. Rating 0 suitable for walls and residential use only
  • Semi-Vitreous tile has water absorption of more than 3% but less than 7% for indoor use
  • C.O.F. greater that .50 recommended for standard residential applications and is marginally skid resistant

We purchased this tile for our kitchen backsplash. We ordered enough tile for the entire project online. Our order arrived within 2 days. Only a few tiles that were broken. Actual tile is darker than shown with contrasting individual tile colors. End result was excellent. Couldn't be happier!

Most of the Tile came with cracks and broken pieces...
As I said in the Review Title: Most of the Tile came with cracks and broken pieces... The appearance installed is good, but working with so many little pieces and a lot of them broken or cracked, made the install take twice as long.

A pain to install but look great once you fix the manufacturing issues
We had to go to several stores to get enough to complete our project. The tile looks great installed but be prepared for quality issues in the spacing of the tiles, specifically where two sections fit together. We had one entire box that was different from the other 5 boxes. Some of the tile had so much glue on the bottom it was hard to get it to sit flush with the other tiles. Not to mention all the broken stones in the middle of the sheet. For the price of this tile, I would expect it to fit together without issue. Additionally, the dye lots are much different. If you plan to use this tile, be prepared to lay out your entire section and dry fit it together before you install it. It will save you a huge headache.
