MSI Horizon Quartzite 16 sq. ft. Pattern Natural Gauged Floor and Wall Tile is a subtle white Natural Stone Quartzite with metallic gray and green hues. This tile is constructed from durable, vitreous quartzitic slate material, comes in an unglazed, textured finish and incorporates random variations in tone. With a large selection of sizes and accessories to choose from, this tile can easily be laid in a pattern or single layout and is suitable for residential and commercial installations, including kitchens and bathrooms. This GREENGUARD certified Genuine Stone tile is suitable for installation on floors and walls. NOTE: Inspect all tiles before installation. Natural stone products inherently lack uniformity and are subject to variation in color, shade, finish, etc. It is recommended to blend tiles from different boxes when installing. Natural stones may be characterized by dry seams and pits that are often filled. The filling can work its way out and it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure. All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer. After installation, vendor disclaims any liabilities.

The quartzite was represented as gauged, but one piece was 1/4" and others were up to 3/4" with h...
The quartzite was represented as gauged, but one piece was 1/4" and others were up to 3/4" with humps. One piece flaked apart with a hose nosal when trying to clean the tile. Lastly the color was basically green, not the gray or brown represented in the photos. Needless to say the product was returned.

Beautiful but very time consumingWhile I knew beforehand that the tiles varied in depth which would result in an irregular floor, I was okay with this as I love the natural stone look and feel. What I didn't realize was that many of the tiles also varied in their width and length by as much as a 1/4-inch and many were also out of square. This presented a tremendous challenge during the install to maintain straight lines. Once I had the entire floor dry fitted, I labeled each tile sequentially and directionally so that I could be sure everything would fit when adhering them permanently.

Really nice looking, BUT difficult to installThis tile looks great once installed, but MANY of your tiles will be broken, vary wildly from gray, green, gold, browns. I would not try to use these as 12x12's they are just too far out of square. i bought and planned to cut them down to 3.5x6 for a backsplash. The project turned out great, but I had to cut many to square them up, and over half of the tiles were broken. I would plan on ordering double what you need, Home Depot is good about returns so that shouldn't be a problem.

Good productWe used this for our steps and front patio. We then added a back patio and needed more stones to complete it. These matched the original stones. Yes, there will be color or texture variations, but these are natural stones. In the end, the variations are nice. We have about 250 pieces of this size, 50 of which came from HD. They fall within the same range as the others. Sometimes you get pieces that are more layered, and they break more easily, but much more durable than slate. Some tiles are thinner than others, so you have to compensate for that when laying them (you will use more thinset than normal). Biggest irritant for me was that roughly 20% of the shipment would be completely shattered upon delivery by UPS. Another 20% had chipped corners, but I was able to use them. Returning the defectives to HD was simple. The last delivery was best - by freight truck. Every piece was intact.

12 yrs later12 yrs after this ungraded Quartz was installed throughout our home and it still looks brand new. We coated the finished tiling with 4 coats of a mat finish sealer and that has endured the whole time including several bathrooms. We sorted the tile into about 5 different color groups to do different designs throughout our home. We used thinner tile to cover the metal framing for a see thru gas fireplace and thicker tiles for outdoor entranceway.
