Just bought this flooring for all the rooms in our house, except the bedrooms. I had multiple qu...Just bought this flooring for all the rooms in our house, except the bedrooms. I had multiple questions about installing it, such as under or around the toilet, and more. I called the company (Wellmade), and spoke to an installer both times I called. They answered all my questions and were helpful.
I was able to buy most of this floor in the store, everything else I bought on the Home Depot website, and received it in about 1 1/2 week. They Home Depot guy prepared us that we might not get it until 3 months later, but that was not the case.
Do some planning before installing, so you do not end up with very slim pieces, and wondering if you should cut that slim piece or if the baseboard will be wide enough or if caulking will save you and still look good. I had this issue, but there are so many angles in our kitchen. Also you want to plan to make sure you do not put the same pattern next to each other.
As of now, I have installed it in the laundry room, kitchen, and part of the living room. It is going down well. I am using my table saw with a 60 tooth blade, and it is cutting it very nicely. For the going around obstacles, such as counters, I am using my band saw, but I am sure a hand held jigsaw would work just as well. (If you do have a band saw, order any extra blade. Mine has started to struggle towards the end. But I have a cheaper band saw too.)
It did not take long to figure out the angle to use, but on the first row it was not laying down flat. Using a pull bar or tapping block has solved the problem. For every piece I have been tapping it into place. Sometimes even when angling a piece in, and it lays flat, there is still a very slim gap. The pull bar solves this. Just make sure to you light taps, just enough the floor into place. The only install issue that I have is sliding a piece into place. In the directions it states around the door or hard places a piece can be slide in. Maybe it can, and I just could not do it. The ends will slide in nicely, but I could not get the sides to. For me, it had to be angled in first, then it would slide in with some taps.
In terms of durability, it has only been down for a couple days now. However, there was a few times when the pull bar was dropped or dragged across, and there was no damage left. I also had some samples that I tried to ding up, and there was no damage. I recommend getting a sample and putting it through some testing.
Our laundry room is right off the kitchen, and the people at Wellmade suggested we use a transition, so we did. Since it sits under the door, it is unseen. In the bathroom to hallway, we will use a transition too. Wellmade said if the toilet is on top of the floor to use a transition, if you cut around the toilet, he still suggested a transition. And looking online, most people and companies suggest using transitions. Otherwise, there could be problems later.

Now I have a floor I cannot match after being assured by staff I would be able to order more in a month.

tough productI have put down close to 500 sq ft of this product on my way to 1,500 sq's. So far it does what it says it does, very durable, lays down easy, easy to cut, snaps together and is water proof too. My wife loves the look also. The only problem is my local store keeps running out. I would recommand this to everyone

The downside to this product is 1. Only 50 Home Depot stores carry this product. 2. There is a back order that's out until March or April. I ordered some back in November back ordered til March. This is unacceptable. If you cant keep up with the demand don't offer it.
