soft carpet, lovely color, but mats down easily
We had this carpeting installed in the entire upper level of our home, as well as on the steps leading to the upper level of our split level home. We love the color and softness to the touch. It is very comfortable to walk on. We are not pleased with how it mats down on the steps. That is a very high traffic area. After walking up and down the steps only 2-3 times, the carpet looks matted down and older than it is. The mat springs back to normal when vacuumed, but unless I vacuum daily, it looks matted down. I would not recommend it for high traffic areas, but would like to say it looks gorgeous and holds up just fine in our bedrooms and living room. Perhaps we noticed the matting down because we chose the second level grade of this carpet. It is available in a higher grade. Maybe that grade is more tolerant of high foot traffic. I chose to give it an average rating in quality and value due to the fact that the carpet on the steps looks worn after having it for only one month. Also, the installers commented on how easy the carpet was to work with. I would highly recommend it for low traffic areas only.

Mohawk won't honor warrantyHad a carpet less than 18 months old with wear pattern already visible. Mohawk would not honor the warranty and required a second cleaning with a cleaner approved by them. We already had to use a vacuum approved by Mohawk as well. The cleaner said it was wear and matting. Nonetheless, Mohawk waited two months before the BBB intervened, when they sent an inspector that worked for Mohawk. Surprise, he found dirt on the carpet (yes, we walk on our carpet). Home Depot is nowhere to be seen and we have a year and a half old carpet that looks like ten years old. Buy a different brand for sure!
