MSI Ostrich Grey 16 in. x 16 in. Honed Field Tile is a Natural Stone Quartzite with a metallic gray sheen. With a large selection of sizes and accessories to choose from, this tile can easily be laid in a pattern or single layout and is suitable for residential and commercial installations, including kitchens and bathrooms. Note: Inspect all tiles before installation. Natural stone products inherently lack uniformity and are subject to variation in color, shade, finish, etc. It is recommended to blend tiles from different boxes when installing. Natural stones may be characterized by dry seams and pits that are often filled. The filling can work its way out and it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure. All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer. After installation, vendor disclaims any liabilities.

Beautiful Tile but Q.C. Needs Improving
I purchased the 16x16 tiles with the intention of using a 1/8 grout line but the tile was too out of square.
The sample board had recommended a 1/16 grout line but that would impossible being the tile was out 1/16 on 16 inches. Unfortunately,with these irregularities, I was unable to manipulate the tiles to achieve a 1/8 grout line.
I found the tiles too irregular to be used with the recommended grout line but if you used a 1/4 or 3/8 line you shouldn't have any issues.
More disappointing was M.S. International's customer service. I spoke to a customer representative and explained the "out of square" issue. He looked up the item on his computer and replied "I'm looking at a picture of the tile and yes, it is square ". I tried to explain the terminology but he still didn't seem to understand. He said he'd look into the situation and get back to me but no reply after a week. They didn't even reply to Home Depot's inquiry promptly. They couldn't get past the receptionist.
Bottom line, beautiful tile, but quality control needs to improve. Customer service doesn't seem to excist.

It cuts easily with very little chipping, and each tile has a unique pattern that still flows nicely with the others (although expect to play with the tile a bit to get best juxtaposition of patterns). Like the photo sample shows, every tile has a silver sheen to it in some area of the tile, and almost all have a range of greys that flow across the tile. The silver sheen brightens the tile and draws your eye without being overly dramatic or distracting. Expect that there will be a little variation in thickness of the tile as it is a natural stone. The only problem we had was when we needed to order a few additional cases (we miscalculated the quantity we needed). The tile that arrived was not at all like the original 10 cases we received (they were pock-marked and all had a lot of gold in them, unlike the original tile). We returned them and re-ordered another two cases, hoping that the previous cases were sent by mistake (instead of being some "acceptable" variation in the tile). We were relieved to see the new cases that came matched the original cases in color and texture. Whew!

We ordered this Ostrich Gray Quartize tile for the floor. Installed tile with center mosaic and liked the natural variations that the stone tile shows off we decided to buy more of this same tile for another bathroom in our home. Received order delivery with no broken pieces (it was packaged well). The Mrs. posted finished pictures on her Facebook page and received 59 likes in a few hours. Would highly recommend to any contractor or homeowner, A-1+.

Be prepared to pick through them!I love this tile, and it took 3 different orders of a total of 64 boxes to find 15 boxes of tile that look like the picture. The rest were unusable. They looked like completely different tile and nothing I would ever put in my home. It took several hours to go through each tile and separate out the 2-3 in each box that were lovely. The good news is that Home Depot was completely willing to take back the boxes of unused tile with a 100% refund. And my bathroom floor looks amazing. Soft swirls, consistent grey color, great value. It was a lot of work and I would do it again.

Home Depot Please ReadAfter a sample order that was 'as pictured', I ordered 20 boxes. To my surprise, they were different in an amazing way. I think I received the polished instead of honed and this may be what the previous reviewer received.
I was a few boxes short and attempted 3 times to reorder (even with customer service help) but couldn't come close to matching the 20 boxes. I had to redesign the tile layout to adjust for the shortage, but in the end, it was so worth it. The tile I received is so much more than what's pictured.
Google 'silver-grey polished quartzite' to see what potentially could be substituted when you order.
THANKS HOME DEPOT, BUT WILL YOU STOCK THIS QUARTZITE IN THE POLISHED FINISH? I think Daltile carries it. I need roughly 150 ft.

I was expecting a darker, more stain resistant surface, we’ll forget that. I think the only solution is to cover it, or removal, or lamination(joking).

Gorgeous!This tile is amazing. There are 3 or so distinct patterns and it is sparkly while remaining neutral. I had my order shipped for free to the nearest store and picked it up. Other than each box weighing 70lbs and being hard to carry, it was quick and easy. No tile was broken, but there were about 10 tiles out of 150 that were not usable. Mainly because they were not scored on one side or had a natural flaw. I used a charcoal grout and it was very tonal. I would recommend this tile to anybody looking for natural stone.

Nice looking stone tileIf you like quartzite, then this should work for you- it is VERY gray-green, not hint of brown or warm colors, so be sure of color palette.
