The Daltile Semi-Gloss White 12 in. x 12 in. Ceramic Mosaic Tile has a striking, medium-gloss surface. Its tasteful, soothing color coordinates easily with almost any room's decor. Don't use dark grout!
I bought this for my first tile project-- tiling my shower-- thinking that sheets of tile would be easier / less risky to install than individual tiles. Unfortunately I was completely wrong. Some of the sheets of tile have 1/8in spaces, some are far narrower, and some are far wider. I didn't realize that might be an issue, so I wasn't looking for it. As a result, my rows of tile are all wonky. In places where a sheet with wide spaces is next to a sheet with small gaps, you can clearly see where one sheet ends and the next begins. Worse, some of the tiles are slightly crooked on the sheets, so there are some random crooked tiles in he middle of my install. My fault for not noticing, but as a first-time tile installer, I was just trusting that the sheets would be uniform. The issues would be substantially less noticeable if I'd grouted in white, but I grouted in gray instead. Oops. I guess you get what you pay for!

I installed this tile for my kitchen backsplash a few years ago and recently purchased more for a...I installed this tile for my kitchen backsplash a few years ago and recently purchased more for an expansion. Perfect match to the original. This tile is easy to work with and looks great. Good adhesion and easy to cut with a wet sat. I especially like the small size of the individual tiles.

Bathtub-shower enclosureThese subway tiles are very good quality. They come in sheets (the photo above is incorrect), laid out in 6 rows (12")
in 3-2 - 3-2 - 3-2 offset columns (12" 8" 12" 8" 12" 8" ). When planning how much to order, one sheet covers 0.8333 sq. ft., so multiply your square footage x 1.2 to get the number of sheets. The color repeatability (white tile) is excellent, as is the dimensional accuracy of the sheets.

Get a complete box, or check lot #sAs others have mentioned, the shades of white differ greatly. Make sure you either get one unopened box or, check each one for lot # or quality of white shade.

2x4 white subway tiles - inconsistent color lotsI purchased around 700 square feet of 2x4 white mosaic tiles in an original order made in March 2014 at Home Depot. Subsequently I purchase another 100 square feet in Sept 2014 to finish the house construction . I had to remove and replace a significant amount of tile after installation. The color lots from box to box were not consistent. I am not sure from which purchase they came. The tiles were purchased from several different Home Depots in Houston in order to obtain the amount I needed. I was not aware of the differences prior to installation. And no one in the stores seemed to be either. It is difficult to see the differences in color until after grouting completed. Then you are in to an expensive removal and replace process. I ended up with several different color lots of the 0100 white. I love the tile. But would definitely try to assure the tiles all are in the same color lot in the future. Some of them tinged towards a pinkish cast. Other, towards a greyish tone. But all were listed at the 0100 white on the box. In spite of the difficulties, the project came out beautifully. I fortunately had a fabulous tile setter.

Well, this mosaic is 6mm thick NOT 8mm. It is the exact same thickness (I went to the tile aisle ...Well, this mosaic is 6mm thick NOT 8mm. It is the exact same thickness (I went to the tile aisle and got one to lay side-by-side with the Rittenhouse on the Customer Service counter) as the Daltile restore 2x4 mosaic that was too thin for my application. Ordering online is a crapshoot, but if the web site can't even get the basic dimensions right, what's the point in trying?
1* for the wholly negative experience. Though the color of this tile was noticeably warmer than the Restore color, so that would have worked if the thickness had been as described.

From my order I had about 4 sets of tile that were defective. I ordered 5 more which I only neede...From my order I had about 4 sets of tile that were defective. I ordered 5 more which I only needed 3 I just ordered more so I can return the other two in case but of course out of the 5 that I ordered four of them were damaged. I'm just thankful that I was able to cut out the bad triangles and replace them. Which was more work. I did want to return them but I have a deadline and with this being a special order. Are you really am leaning toward never buying tile from Home Depot again or in that affect any floor material seems like you have too many defects in too many problems

We used this tile as a kitchen back splash with pure white grout. It looks wonderful: nice and br...We used this tile as a kitchen back splash with pure white grout. It looks wonderful: nice and bright and clean and timeless. The color looks uniform to me, as other reviews said there were different shades. It was easy to cut on the wet saw: no tile breakage at all. I used 1/8" spacers even though it is a sheet of tiles as some of them are not quite plumb/level. Very happy with the results.
