mosaic tile with a fresh modern mix
We used this tile in our master bathroom. The photo does not do it justice, it's really lovely. the glass tiles have an opaque white backing, so you don't have to smooth out the tile adhesive as you would with see-through glass tiles. The only tricky part was grouting--the darker glass tiles are not smooth, so it was hard to get the excess grout out of all of the little nooks and crannies.

Love It!The tile arrived well protected and no damage. We just had this installed as a back splash in our kitchen. I can't stop starring at it. It is beautiful. I would not base this beautiful tile from the website photo. Looks nothing like this in person. Go to the store to see an actual sample in Home Depot's display. I ordered it at HD for $14.99/sf. and no shipping charges. I searched about 7 months for backsplash tile. I'm picky, but also on a budget. All the tile I liked elsewhere was going to be about $35+ s.f.
I had looked at HD before and did not see this one. I thought the tile department was actually pretty lousy. When I recently went back for something else, I thought I'd look again at tile. They cleaned up their tile department and added some new stuff. This one caught my eye right away. I brought the sample board home and we all loved it. The tiles are mini-subways. This tile has texture and dimension. The color is hard to pin-point. There are two textured tiles; one chocolate brown and one beige/kakai, has a hint of green in it. Another tile is smooth frosted glass; also a beige/kakai. The stone piece is honed (matt) onyx. It is somewhat varied in color but mostly a bone color, some have that typical honey color you see in onyx but not overbearing and randomly scattered. We used a bone color grout which brings out and defines each individual tile beautifully. Because our backsplash ended at our counter and cabinets, and doesn't go all the way to an ending wall, we wanted to finish the ends off with a trim instead of having rough cut edges. I would highly recommend you DO NOT order the onyx trim that they recommend on the sample board. It is not even close to matching. It is too large, too yellow/gold and too polished. I took it back.
I had to search for a different trim and found a 1/2" natural stone pencil liner that almost matches the color of the onyx perfectly.
This goes great with our bone colored cabinets and black granite countertops. But because it is so neutral, it will go well with many cabinet colors.
Install: we had a professional install this. He loved it and is considering it for his kitchen. You will need a wet saw to cut glass tiles and because onyx is a softer stone, he said it breaks easily when cutting. We ordered a couple extra s.f.
We are loving our remodeled kitchen. The backsplash finally made it complete!

Amazing Tile!!Absolutly amazing tile hands down. My wife and I searched for some time for tile in our newly remodel kitchen. You definatly need to get a sample from the store the picture on HD website does no justice for it. Shipping we perfect very well protected and easy to handle, the bowex were not over packed.
