Beautiful slate back splash! Just be prepared for color changes upon sealing the stone.
I had never tiled before, but I was able to make a beautiful slate backspash for my cottage kitchen, using Simple Mat & these Jeffrey Court mosaics.
The only challenge is coping with the color changes that occur when you seal your slate tiles prior to grouting. The color changes in the stones can be quite significant.

NICE BLEND OF COLORS EASY TO WORK WITH & CUT
LOOK A THOUSANDS OF TILES. THIS ONE IS GREAT. NICE COLOR BLEND, GREAT TEXTURE, AND PATERN.
WOULD WORK WITH ALL COLORS IN RUST, BEIGE, BROWNS, AND GRAY.

Overall this product looks great and has enhanced the appearance of our kitchen
This product installs fairly easily except when cutting around outlets, phone jacks, etc. Grouting also goes slowly due to the uneven surface of the stone. The key is not to hurry but go slow and steady and the results are well worth the time and money.

This product looks amazing in our kitchen. The only trouble we had was that it was very hard to cut in order to piece it into places that needed it. But that was expected due to it being slate-like.

Looks great installed. Be careful, because there are two different finishes that can occur, and it is easy to spot. Grouting is quite a challenge. Might be better for a backsplash or other small area. I did a whole bathroom, and it was quite a bit of work.

looks great, very happy
I love the way this looks. We did not seal it afterwards, we felt it looked great as is. Plus you have to seal it again every couple years. The contractor bitched a little about the install, so I gave it 4 stars there on his opinion, not mine. But that is his job, not mine. Anyways, this stuff looks great, especially when the sun light hits it, wow does it look nice.
