Measurements: Do not trust the measurements. Many of these were slightly different lengths. More annoyingly, many were completely different widths meaning that some fit the stair treads while others overhang by up to 1/4".
Grip / Positioning: While they have a rubber coated backing and appear to help reduce slipping, they absolutely DO NOT stay in place and have to be nudged back where they belong frequently. We have wooden stairs with a standard varnish on them. Nothing uncommon.
Comfort: Excellent. They feel nice under feet.
Durability: To soon to confirm.
Overall, I can't find it in myself to recommend these. They're sold as 'staying firmly in position' which is simply a lie and with the random measurement issues, it's fairly obvious that these are carpet remnants being quickly (and sloppily) cut, bound around the edges and resold. You could absolutely find a better product, you get what you pay for.

Needed something that wouldn't take away from the look of the stairs AND would stay put for my do...Needed something that wouldn't take away from the look of the stairs AND would stay put for my dog to bound down. These work fine, even without using carpet tape to keep them in place. My 25 lb dog leaps from the stairs and the carpet stays put.

These really work!I bought these for my elderly dog, who was really having problems on our wood stairs. He wouldn't even go down the stairs to the lower level, we had to let him out one door and in another so he could get to our bedroom at night.
Right out of the box, I simply laid them down on the stairs. That's it, took seconds. I thought I might need carpet tape, but they are very secure. After some bribery with treats Mojo went down the stairs, and now has no problem! Our home office is on an upper level which he does go up and down, but he has taken a couple of tumbles, so we had resorted to baby gates to keep him safe, so now he can go up and down as he pleases. These feel good on my feet too!
We had looked at other options on Amazon which were much more expensive, these were a steal!

They are lightweight pieces, but SO cushy. Everyone loves going...They are lightweight pieces, but SO cushy. Everyone loves going up and down just to step on these stair treads! I didn’t need to use the two-way tape that I had purchased to have them stick to the stairs. They have a rubber backing and stay in place. For this low price we couldn’t go wrong!

Softy Stair Tread Cover.Just had them for only a week but so far they stay in place. Bought the carpet tape just in case. Looks great and feels good! Have 15 stairs and sold in pkg of either 14 or 7. Wish we could have just purchased one more instead of 7.

I had to return the stair treads as they were...I had to return the stair treads as they were too wide for my steps. I have an older house, and they just didn't fit. Sorry for the return, as I should have measured first.

I thought the color would be a darker brown, but...I thought the color would be a darker brown, but otherwise I'm satisfied with the quality. They definitely stay in place without carpet tape.
