Natural stone patterns and abundant color variations are present in this exquisite Silver Honed Travertine Tile from MSI. These 18 in. x 18 in. floor and wall field tiles have a silvery gray appearance that coordinates nicely with many decor themes, while a low sheen and smooth, honed finish supply an elegant look. It is highly skid-resistant, works well with subsurface heating systems and is rated for outdoor use. Add instant charm and create a contemporary aesthetic with this natural silver travertine tile. NOTE: Inspect all tiles before installation. Natural stone products inherently lack uniformity and are subject to variation in color, shade, finish, etc. It is recommended to blend tiles from different boxes when installing. Natural stones may be characterized by dry seams and pits that are often filled. The filling can work its way out and it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure. All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer. After installation, vendor disclaims any liabilities.

Installed tileFollowing up to my other reviews. The installation went well (professionally done) and we couldn't be happier. We used the following grout and it blended beautifully. We also used an enhancing sealer to bring out the natural patterns and color. I added several pictures so you could see how it looks in natural day light, and evening light.

lots of variation in appearanceI bought three boxes to reface my fireplace surround and hearth, figuring I would need half of that, at most. Of the 30 squares, only one or two resembled the sample online (and in store) in having silvery gray tones. Most of the rest are either much darker, taupey brown or very pale, buff color. There is too much variation to suit my purpose - the dark tones are at odds with my decor and there are not enough with the lighter tones to complete the project. I am disappointed. I could imagine all the variation working nicely in a larger setting, such as a floor. But it is too much for my fireplace surround and hearth.

buy more than you need - some will breakLoooks great when installed - colors were not a true reflection of what you see online - this is natural stone and the color has natural variance for each piece. Some of the tiles will break - natural stone has veins that tend to be weakpoints. All in all - looks very nice and we are pleased with this purchase.

I wanted a tile that had a lot of color variation and was more gray toned than beige. This tile has a lot of different colorMy contractor installled the tile in 4 bath rooms. His comment was individual tiles were rather fragile and easily broke becuae the back side of the tiles is very porous. However, tiles look great in bathrooms and feels smooth. Great rich look with lots of color variation and natural stone patterns.
Overall very pleased with my selection.

Make sure to order LOTS of extra tilesSaw these tiles for twice the price in a tile store. About half of tiles arrived broken, which HD took back with no problem. We only did a small area around a fireplace so it was not a big problem, but we had to reorder to finish project. Tiles arrived in a few days with both orders. Make sure to order a LOT of extra tiles due to breakage and matching - very varied color and design with natural stone. Cut, installed and sealed very easily. Loved the finished look.
