Looks and feels great!
We wanted to add some carpet to our painted stairs to warm them up and also help keep the dogs from sliding around and scratching up the stairs. However, we didn't want to purchase an expensive carpet runner. We were so pleased to find these stair treads and absolutely loved the modern yet classic pattern to help liven up the stairway. It took about 2 weeks to receive them once ordered, and we were a little nervous about the quality since we were not able to see the product in person before ordering. But when they arrived we couldn't have been happier! The quality is great, and the treads are really thick and extra soft feeling underfoot. Also, installation was a breeze! We used crown staples as per recommended, and they seem very secure. Plus you can't see the staples through the carpeting at all which is nice. Bottom line, we love the look of these, and so far they are holding up well to the dogs as well as the regular foot traffic from my family. You won't be disappointed!

Better quality than I expectedThese stair treads are the best I've purchased. I replace my stair treads about every 18 months. These are plush and well made. I've very happy with this purchase.

Easy InstallationI ordered the Stratford Garden Gate stair treads 9"x33" on March 6th and received them on March 10th. All 13 treads were delivered in simple packaging and once removed they were ready for installation. I did not want to tack the treads to my hard wood stairs so I ordered double-sided tape instead.
I placed two pieces of tape along the 33" borders and still have plenty of tape left over. You do not have to use tacks, staples, or nails, as the tape works perfectly. The reason for the purchase was to protect my dogs from slipping down the stairs, and they do just that.
*The only discrepancy was that I ordered both the stair treads and double-sided tape together but they were shipped on separate days.

These treads helped our home decorating needs tremendously!Having just bought a home with hard wood floors, my little dog was slipping and sliding and actually fell down the stairs. These treads not only added the gripping function we needed, but they also cozied up the house and look great!

Very nice quality/ well made/ look greatThe guidelines for installation say to nail or staple these into place, but I did not want to put holes in my wooden steps so I used double faced, non skid tape. So far, so good! If I had children in the home, I would tack them more securely. They are very nice quality and I love the way they look on the stairs. My little puppy now can go up and down the steps without the fear of slipping and falling (as she did before installation). She loves to drop her ball down the stairs and fetch it herself. Yes, these were purchased more for my dog than myself, but it did the trick (and looks nice too)!

Color NOT as stated!I was so disappointed when I opened the package to find that these stair treads are NOT black and white as advertised. They are black and beige. They should change the description so that it matches the product. I would not have ordered them if I knew they were black and beige. I cannot comment on performance and durability since they just arrived today. They seem well made.
