I used this with a 1/2" Milwaukee drill to mix 40 pounds of large format thick tile mortar. It mixes well and gets into the corners of a five gallon bucket. It taxes my 1/2" drill to its limit and I have run the drill a little at no load to keep from overheating. Luckily I only needed a 5 minute mix time. I previously tried another big two bladed mixer but it put too much strain on the drill and bought this one and it could do the job without overstraining the drill. It cleans in seconds by spinning it a 5 gallon bucket of water and then a quick rinse with a jet nozzle on a hose.

I tried using this to mix mortar and it's just...I tried using this to mix mortar and it's just too awkward for me. Also, the consistency I wanted to get the mix would not allow this to work well. It might be great if you're working with cake-batter consistency, but anything thicker - just mix by hand.

Very easy to use, just plug it into an electric...Very easy to use, just plug it into an electric drill, and wham! Whatever you're mixing is easily and well mixed. Fills in for the mixing muscles I lack.
