Great flooring, install can be tricky in some rooms
We decided to use this product in our master bathroom during a remodel, and ended up liking the look of it so much we decided to expand the remodel from the bathroom, into the dressing area, and have even discussed carrying it on throughout the master bedroom.
Beautiful product.
A big negative though is that the install is not as easy as they make it sound. It's a snap & lock vinyl, instead of an adhesive edge plank that you just peel and stick. Here you need to apply the long edge into the groove, snap it in, and also connect the short edge to the previous short edge. The instructions told me to do the long edge and then slide it down into the previous short edge, but the product doesn't "slide", you have to finagle it a little.
This is tricky in straight runs, but gets even more tricky around door openings and other things that need cutting around. To avoid big gaps around door openings, I was required to remove the door casing so that i could then shorted them and re-install them to conceal the cuts and gaps, and some of them still show. This trim work added a lot of time to the project - re-removing and installing trim, caulking, painting, etc. My project involved going through 3 doorways in different directions so it was quite painful.
And you need to also consider shoe mold or even 1/4-round to cover gaps against base trim.
That all being said, i'd totally recommend this product, especially for large spaces with few cuts as possible. But for smaller areas with lots of cuts to fit, this may be a much more difficult process than you think, especially if you have door casings to work around.
The easier product to install in these areas may be the peel-and-stick which doesn't involve the tilting, snapping, locking, etc. Also, with the peel-and-stick edge product, if you need to replace one piece in the middle of the floor, you can easily do so. With this snap and lock product, it's nearly impossible to make it look right.
For reference, my level of expertise is well-seasoned DIYer.
