Designed for wall, floor and countertop use, the Daltile 4 in. x 4 in. Indian Multicolor Slate Tile is a great way to enliven your space. It has a textured low-gloss finish and a multicolor design to complement many interior decors. Non-vitreous, it has a water absorption of more than 7% for indoor use and is skid resistant to satisfy most flooring applications. This versatile slate tile has a random variation in tone to help coordinate with your space.
- 6 square feet per case, 54 pieces per case. Case weight is 30 lbs.
- Grade 1, first-quality natural stone tile for floor, wall and countertop use
- 4 in. length x 4 in. width x 5/16 in. thick
- Unglazed textured finish with a low sheen and a random variation in tone
- P.E.I. Rating III is suitable for medium-duty residential floors including kitchens, halls, corridors, balconies, terraces and areas used more often with normal footwear and small amounts of dirt
- Vitreous flooring has water absorption of more than 0.5% but less than 3% for indoor use and some outdoor applications and is frost resistant (when proper installation methods are followed)

Love this tile. It arrived in great condition. It needs to be rinsed off to see the true colors...
Love this tile. It arrived in great condition. It needs to be rinsed off to see the true colors as the tile is soft and very dusty. I brushed on a clear coat for my chair rail section to give the tile a wet look.

Tiles were packaged well, there were no damaged or broken tiles. No breakage when having to cut ...Tiles were packaged well, there were no damaged or broken tiles. No breakage when having to cut tiles. There are few, if any, tiles that are exactly the same. They are durable and rustic (exactly what we were wanting for our kitchen). Delivery did take longer then expected. We did have to reschedule contractor, because tiles had not arrived on time. I do wish there was the option of express delivery.

When I picked up the tile I was worried because it was single tiles not on the mesh as people sai...When I picked up the tile I was worried because it was single tiles not on the mesh as people said, but it worked out great and looks beautiful. I love the variation in color too.

Love our new counter top!We chose the slate tile for a dining room counter top because we have a slate step up into the adjoining kitchen area. It accents nicely. We received the tile faster than expected and in excellent condition. We had literally no waste. We used a sealer/color enhancer and the colors are BEAUTIFUL including reds, greens, golds, and grays. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone hoping for an informal look to their counter top.

a bit disappointed in colorThe color was not at all like the picture. Also looks like there is a sheen on it. We I went thru every box and picked out the ones that will work for me however will be returning quite a few. Overall its not bad so making it work. But I suggest Home Depot take new photos of the tile so it looks like what you are getting.

I installed this tile as a backsplash in my kitchen...I installed this tile as a backsplash in my kitchen and I really like the look of it. As with any slate tiles you will end up with some that will fall apart into individual layers when it is cut but that is to be expected. The variations in color and texture are what makes it really stand out.
