Use the MSI White Oak 6 in. x 24 in. Marble Floor and Wall Tile for your next installation or renovation project to incorporate a contemporary aesthetic into your decor. This attractive rectangular tile features a random variation of light gray shades with linear streaks that create a stylish complement for a wide variety of design schemes. This natural marble tile is smooth with a medium gloss finish and has an impervious water absorption rating. With a various sizes and accessories to choose from, this tile can be installed in a pattern or individually to project your signature look. Note: Inspect all tiles before installation. Natural stone products inherently lack uniformity and are subject to variation in color, shade, finish, etc. It is recommended to blend tiles from different boxes when installing. Natural stones may be characterized by dry seams and pits that are often filled. The filling can work its way out and it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure. All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer.

DefectsMost of the tiles contained defects. There appeared to be lines going across the height of each tile on back and front. Although you could not feel a "crack" per se, I think perhaps the tiles were broken and reattached in the factory in some way that mitigated against actually feeling a separation. I had ordered these same tiles originally from another vendor, and although they did not have the defects, they all broke in the shipping -- twice. The tiles from Home Depot were very well packaged and none of the tiles was broken, but they were all pretty much defective. My contractor had a hard time working around the defects.

Home Depot was about a third of the price of our local tile stores for the exact same tile. You will need to seal this if it’s in a wet location. It is natural stone and porous.
