#27 3.5 oz. Acrylic Wood Filler - Product information

Repair nicks, holes and small scratches on your indoor flooring by using the #27 3.5 oz. Acrylic Wood Filler. This filler can be used on laminate-, engineered- or solid hardwood floors. Squeeze filler into area and smooth with fingers or damp cloth. Fill areas greater than 1/4 in. in layers, allowing 4 hours drying time between applications. Clean-Up: Wipe off excess filler immediately using a clean white cloth dampened with warm water before material hardens. Do not rub so hard that the finish becomes polished. Keep from freezing. Hardened material may be removed with odorless mineral spirits after allowing the materials to soften for 5 minutes. Designed to coordinate with Coffee, Henna, Java, Mocha, Saddle, Windsor, Chesepeake, Ponderosa, Mellow, Gunstock, Brandywine and Spice Ginger colored hardwood flooring.

Had success with paste. Takes patience since at least three applications to fill crack between boards. Material shrinks as it drys. Cleanup with damp towel is easy. Try to keep fill even and smooth.

If you read the very long list of Armstrong/Bruce flooring colors that this putty is supposed to ...
If you read the very long list of Armstrong/Bruce flooring colors that this putty is supposed to match, it seems unlikely this one tube, called "Browns/Tans" could match ALL those different flooring materials. Bruce recommends this shade of filler for their "Mocha Java" hardwood floor but it did not match. It was glaringly obvious that the putty was much lighter, and it looked awful. Minwax "walnut" did not work either, so I ended up ordering another brand's "dark walnut" shade from a large online retailer and had it shipped to me two days later for around $6. It matched the whole floor perfectly. A bit frustrating to spend so much on the hardwood flooring only to find Bruce does not go to the trouble to make filler to match all their shades. Perhaps this matches one of their other products but it did not match mine.

Happy with the size and performance of the product
Happy to be able to purchase this product from Home Depot without having to contact the manufacturer and pay shipping. Also appreciate being able to buy just the filler tube and not an entire repair kit.

I've used it to fill in minor cracks and small scratches on the engineered wood floors. It smoothes them out , but I'm sure that I am not skilled enough in DIY that my application is ideal.
