Decent basic saw
I had a small job doing a kitchen back splash with 3x6 subway tile. It came out quite well.
Arrived in good shape. The user manual was out of date, 2000 vs. the online version dated 2004. Careless but not all that critical anyway.
The saw cuts easily. Does not seem underpowered. The job came out well - see picture. I had some detailed cuts around outlets and molding. It does throw some water - especially when the reservoir is full.
The fence is junky. Sticky, difficult to set and align parallel to blade. I also found cross cuts, as opposed to rip cuts, difficult. The tool needs a sled of some sort like I use on my table saw. The blade guard is needed to control the water spray but it blocks my sight when trying to make a fine cut. Fairly noisy.
I've now used both under the table and over the piece saws and I prefer the over the piece models with a sliding table. You can see the blade. You can position the tile on the sled and precisely push through the blade.
BUT - those models will cost 2 or 3 times as much. That's the choice.

Great saw for the money
I received this saw as a Christmas gift five years ago and it's been a little workhorse. I have used it on a kitchen project and 6 bathrooms including a large 3 stall church bathroom. I have made intricate patterns and designs. I just had to replace the blade last year. I highly recommend this saw to anyone from a novice to a experienced user. Good saw!

4.5 in. Wet Cutting Tile Saw
I needed to tile a bath tub surround with black and white tiles, mosaic and trim.I have never tiled before and I knew it was going to be a tedious job and renting a saw would cost a fortune. For the price of renting for 2 days I bought this little marvel (with FREE shipping) and did my work slowly, at my pace and extremely well! I I splashes a little but that is why it is called a wet saw. I recommend this HIGHLY.

Great Wet Saw
I tiled a basement bar area and bathroom in ceramic tile
(175 sq ft) that needed a lot of cuts. I didn't want to rent a tile saw, but also didn't want to spend a lot on a saw. I was impressed as to how well this saw cuts. It's really a great, portable saw. It makes smooth, accurate cuts as long as you don't force the tile and it's reaaly quiet. The water reservoir needs filling up after cutting about 6-8 12" tiles. No big deal though. I actually laid some plastic sheeting down on the basement floor and cut the tiles down there and it wasn't too messy. Can't beat this saw for $89.00.

Great saw, for tile
I purchased this saw to tile a bathroom and kitchen 12 years ago. After wards we sold that house and built a new house from scratch. Tiled the whole house (2700 Square feet). Then we did a few side projects for some freinds, then we decided to build a new house, and we bricked it ourselves, and used the tile saw to cut the brick, then we were putting in the showers and we were cutting the backer board. The blade came loose and I could not tighten it. It had rusted in a locked position. Nothing I could do could get it to tighten or losten. The saw itself still seems strong but the nut being frozen has rendered it useless, but we have more tile and brick to do..
Time for a new saw, but to this one I say, Thanks old Freind, you have been faithful. Just put some WD40 on that blade nut, because there is no way to unlock it and force it off if it gets stuck.
Great tool. Will buy a 7 inch next time because I need to cut more brick.

Cuts great, low price, small footprint...PERFECT!
I bought this to cut some slate tile I was putting down. I only needed to make around 15 cuts or so, so I have not had a chance to put this through extensive use. But, so far, it cut the slate tile very easily, and I was able to make some nice curved corner tile cuts on this machine very easily. For $99 shipped to my house, I couldn't be happier. The motor is strong, it cuts fast, and is easy to setup/put away. The only small minor item is the guide that you adjust to slide the tile on is a bit hard to move since it is plastic on plastic rails, and the measuring system isn't all that intuitive. But, I just used a tape measure and since doing slate tile doesn't need to be perfect, it worked well for me.

Good saw for the price
I purchased this saw to tile a bathroom. Im a do-it-yourselfer so I didn't want to spend a lot on a wet saw. I read through the reviews here and did find like others did that the decals with the measurements were peeling off before I took it out of the box but I had no intention of using them so its not a big deal. I had no trouble with assembly or attaching the fence. Slides right on and off. I cut through 8x8 ceramic tile about 1/4" thick with no trouble., as long as you dont try and muscle it through. I took the advice I read in a review and turned the tile around and completed the cut from the opposite side to prevent chipped ends (I tried a few straight through and they did chip off at the end ruining a few cuts) The cuts were clean and smooth, maybe the end chip might not happen with a better blade. I read some reviews stating this saw was messy, I set it up outside and ran a few cuts. If you add too much water it gets a little sloppy on the surface, but I filled it to the level shown and kept the guard down as close to the workpiece as possible and the water stayed on the tile with no spray. I cut about 10 tiles before adding any water. Im now using it in my basement. If your tiling for a living or plan to do a lot of tiling on the side, I would purchase a more expensive saw, but for do it yourself projects its well worth the money.

Very good for the price
Good little machine for the amateur. I am almost done with the bathroom cutting ceramic and porcelain tiles with the same blade. I flip the tile over to finish the cut so that the end does not break and refill the water reservoir often. It works for me. I don't give it a 5 because the adjustable guide stick is hard to move around, the blade protection has to be very low for the water not to project forward, but then you can't see the blade and the tape rule peels off.
