This is one of those tools that you just can not figure out why it hasnt been made for longer, and why it took so long to try it out. It is an absolutely amazing layout tool for doing flooring. I do a lot of hardwood and tile floors, where making the flooring mate around objects can sometimes be very unforgiving.
The rulers are made of a yellow thermoplastic. This tool will not survive huge impacts and abuse, it is an economical layout tool. It combines an adjustable protractor with plane measurements / setting.
The whole unit works off of a set of sliding plastic t nuts. It seems that they can be easily overtightened and strip out the threads in the plastic t nut. It is a layout transfer tool, do not torque it down. It does not take up much space, and can be a huge time saver on odd jobs. Did not realize how much I could use it until I got one.

More basic than expected.I bought this tool to help me find the proper angles when using my miter saw. I am redoing most rooms in my house and installing a lot of trim and crown molding. I was hoping this would tell me the angle to set the blade to eliminate gaps. Math has never been a strong point for me and considering it is rare that you encounter a corner that is a true 90 degrees I need all the help I can get. I have some areas where I need to cut angles larger than 45 and it has been a huge challenge resulting in a lot of wasted material. After looking over the instructions I have realized this isn't going to do what I thought. This isn't really an effective tool for carpentry but I think I can make it work.
The measurements on it are really nothing more than a ruler; doesn't give angles which I thought was odd. Pictures on the package show it to be very flexible and states it is glass filled and durable. Feels to me like it could be easily broke on a job site. The plastic screws seem like they would be prone to over tightening and damaged.
We will see if I get better use out of it when it comes time to install the outdoor pavers.

I first learned about this tool from a Facebook add...I first learned about this tool from a Facebook add and figured I’d try it. So far it has met my expectations and I’ve already used it to make a difficult angled cut. The tool is light weight and sturdy. I will definitely use it for my next flooring job.
