Beautiful!!!
Wish I could have seen this in person before ordering two other kinds. This is gorgeous and I like the clicking mechanics better than the ones that the store carries. This has a wood tongue and groove vs the other one had a foam like tongue and groove.

It's a floating floor, I'm noticing a few places in each room that it doesn't seem to hold tight together. I'm having the installer come back to see if there's a remedy for this. The test of time will tell. It's only been a week since it was laid. I might write a review in a year as an update. If I had it to do over again I would go with the thicker, more expensive vinyl plank.

Easy to install. Looks great. Use underlayment.I'm a moderately handy guy and had never done a floor before so I was a bit nervous about this project. I tore up 500 sqft of carpeting in my basement and installed this flooring. It took a little while to figure it out - I wasted a couple planks - but once I got the hang of it, it went quickly. You need a tapping block, hammer, and a long straight edge to cut against. I put this in two rooms with the first being a large closet. I wanted to use that room to get my technique down before tackling the rest of the basement. Good call. I learned a few things: 1) Underlayment is necessary. Without it, you can hear the bottom of the plank tap against the subfloor with each step. I bought FloorMuffler for the rest of the job and it greatly improved the feel of our new floor. 2) Use plenty of shims to make sure you keep the 1/4" space between wall and plank. without shims you'll constantly be readjusting and fixing and it's a huge hassle. 3) Get yourself an oscillating multitool for this job. awesome for cutting door jams so you can fit these planks under. Also, trying to cut the planks using a razor blade is terrible. Use the oscillating multitool to quickly score the planks and then snap them. This was a huge time saver. Our new floor looks amazing and feels bomb proof. Happy customer.

However, we have been trying to install it on our own and they are not clicking together as they should. If you tap them down, the click lock system falls off of the plank...very thin and fragile. We aren't professionals. I'm sure it would work better for them. I have laid laminate planks before but not vinyl. An entire box came damaged (the ends/click lock system were damaged) and we haven't opened all the boxes up yet. If you plan to have someone with flooring knowledge install it, I would recommend this floor. If not, you may want to do some research first before purchasing.
