I recently purchased 200 sq ft of your china black marble tile through Home Depot. I am not sure if there was an issue with your production batch, or some mishandling in shipping, but the crate at Home Depot had 2 boxes that had broken open, with broken tile. I refused to accept any of the tile because I thought it was mishandled, a week later they tell me the re-order is in.. same problem. I have to tile now because I am re-modelling my only bathroom. My contractor is experienced with tile, has all the proper tools, and has reported no less than 20% of the tiles so far just break in half when the saw hits them or crack after being set. This is costing him time and me money. I may not have enough tile to finish, and at $7+ a foot which is now really costing me $8+ I am pretty upset.
I have this suspicion that the Home Depot store #4003 did not in fact re-order the tile, but claimed they did, and just offered up the same mishandled crate and broken tiles.
This tile should be really nice, mine is not. I have also written Daltile directly. I am currently working on resolution directly with Home Depot.

Beautiful look!!!Great tiles, more expensive but it is worth it for sure!!! When open the box please handle with care. Cutting is hard but if I diy person handled that you can too. Love those tiles, easy to clean!

This is a very nice looking marble, but it is quite fragile I would rent a wet tile saw to cut it...This is a very nice looking marble, but it is quite fragile I would rent a wet tile saw to cut it. I used this on my fireplace as a slab with no grout in between the tile. I used instant grab construction adhesive to bond to the old tile and have had no problems with it coming loose. I have a gas fireplace, but it still will get very hot again no problems. My only problem is several of the tiles are a different thickness so when they butt up to the other it is not smooth. I would say the thickness varies about 1/16 to an 1/8 of an inch. Please check out the picture of the fire place.

Looks amazing!!!We put in this type of marble into our master bathroom shower wall it looks so different, classy, modern all in one! Bathroom floor also has this marble but it is mixed with white stone marble as well(chess design). Very fragile to work with, brakes easily; but once put in no issues.

This was another super easy operation with Home Depot. I have used the order on line, and pick up...This was another super easy operation with Home Depot. I have used the order on line, and pick up at the store several times. It's great for me. I don't have to leave work to accept the delivery. I can return in store anything I don't use. Everyone at the Encinitas store was great--friendly and professional. The tile is very good quality, and as advertised. I wish the rest of my life were this easy.
