I chose this tile because I love the unique pattern. I waited for it come back in stock after searching high and low for a similar style. Here are a few notes after completing the project:
-We installed the tile as shown in the product description which requires MANY cuts per outlet, switch, etc. It is hard to keep the pattern correct so we used an oil pencil to mark it along the way.
-Due to the number of cuts, I was glad to have ordered the 10% extra suggested in the product information. I actually ordered more than 10% extra (I was worried it would never come back in stock again) and returned unused sheets to the store.
-When grouting, the center of the "stars" where the hexagons meet seemed to sink in and cracked. I used unsanded grout to avoid scratching the surface of the tiles and ended up doing a second coat of grout to fill in the sunken spots. This could have been user error with the grout--maybe it was too wet. Although it was time consuming, it wasn't especially hard and I'm thrilled with the finished product.
