Kitchen backsplash
I was nervous about finding the right person to install this. I must have had about eights estimates from installers! My husband was having enough of it and just wanted it done. I was worried because the prior jobs for our kitchen renovation had not gone stress-free. Some installers appeared to not have worked with this tile and expressed concern over cutting it and having edges smooth.
Love the end result. We purchased a stainless steel strip from a tile store for the transition from the stainless steel to glass tile (They're also available at HD), and love the results. Just make sure you order 10% more. I mistakenly ordered just enough and had only 3 individual 1'x2" pieces left over. If there hadn't been enough, I would have had to order it and the job would have been delayed. We used the Polyblend non-sanded grout in Delorean Gray.
There is another meta subway stainless steel tile available from HD, but the description said it wasn't as shiny. This went well with our stainless steel appliances and I think anything less shiny wouldn't have looked as nice. It's has the same sheen as our ss appliances.
p.s. Also purchased glass subway tile from HD.

wow factorLove the high end modern look of the tile. Its a bit more reflective than I thought. Wish it was more of a satin finish. Arrived quickly and cheaper than other stainless tiles. Make sure the you cut the tile with a wet saw and use plastic tools and nonsanded grout because the tile can scratch. Also use edge trim at any open edge that does not end at a corner. Avoid using aluminum because it reacts to stainless steel.

Great SS tile looks fabuolusHave a good water saw. I put painters tape on the face of the tile to help guide it thru the saw. It cut like butter, very amatuer freindly.[I am an amutuer]. Instalation went smoothly. The tile looks far better then I had hoped. Now that it is done I will add stick up led lights under the cabinets for a great effect when it hits the tile. I could not be more pleased in any way. Also after 6 weeks of searching this was the best product and at a stunning price. Get some and have some fun, you will love the look.

Had to manually cut it by hacksaw for better results. This tiles are very modern industrial looks, gives addt"l ligthing during the day as tiles reflects throughout the kitchen. Its the same texture, feel and finish as most of your stainless steel appliances. Thats why we purchased this to match our current stainless steel appliance, something diifferent from the "jones". This tiles are attach together steel glued to ceramic. Anyway it was easy to install just place, plaster and install, but i always use the spacers. the only obstacle you"ll hav is the outlets for cuts and fit. This tile is really hard to cut by power tools except for the ceramic side. it"ll tarnish if wet, scratches or rust engraves on cuts. best to cut this is by hand hacksaw w/ 24 to 32 teeth. Cut on the steel tile side ONLY. I prefer a brand new blades get more cause the steel tile will dull it very soon, however i used the occilating tool for other side which is ceramic. best way to cut this is to clamp it cut steel side 1st. My regret was i bent and twist them to separate the cuts, dont do it its very obvious if they are dented or bend It'll look just like a blemish/dings on cars. Hope this helps, best of Luck.

The specifications are confusing. It looks like is it $14.95 a Square Foot, but it is actually $17 or 18 a Square Foot, little misleading. If the specifications would be cleared up. The product is not as it is described. I am not good at math but can measure. The sheet covers 0.83 Square Feet, so I think that makes it $16SF? I suppose it is almost 20% more than $14.95, let's be fair and say 17%. Then the price would be $17.50 a Square Foot.
Either way, you can see in their specs they say 12x12" which is what I was going with. But that was wrong. I should have done more research "caveat emptor".
But if they could correct that spec it would be good, also clarify it is $17 or $18 a Square Foot underneath would be really helpful instead of having to do all this math.
Really easy fix.
#1. Put on the cost per square foot = $17.50 a square foot (that is a guess)
#2. Change the spec page

Meta Subway TileUsed these tile for a kitchen backsplash and love them! Ordered samples from several other makers and these were the best of the bunch and priced reasonably by comparison. Cut easily with a tile saw. Love the look - Recommend!

Perfect backsplashUsed this for our backsplash in our new home. It worked wonderfully! I know that there are lots of questions about cutting this tile. We used a regular tile saw (wet saw) to cut them without any problems. Did get a few places that had small fragments of metal that were from the cuts. These came off easily by bending and breaking off. Read that you can use a file to get them off as well. Then we just caulked the cut edges to make them nice and finished. Really made a difference in the look of out kitchen.
