DIYer Do-able with absolutely beautiful results!I undertook gutting and remodeling my kitchen early this summer. I'm a DIYer and female , if that means anything or is helpful to anyone considering a DIY project. I'm a nurse by trade, so my projects are usually well-read and researched before breaking ground so-to-speak. This mosaic tile was the perfect compliment to my light/dark mixed granite counters. Installation was easy once the flow got going. I found that a 1/8 to 1/4 inch layer of acrylic based mortar on wall and tile was all that is needed to have a good bond and keep excess from oozing out all over the place. You need to treat the tile, before grouting, with a good permeable sealer so grout material will not be absorbed and discolor the stone or fill up the beautiful crystals lying within the natural pits and holes of this stone. Sealing was the most tedious and time-consuming phase of this project because care has to be taken to not saturate in between tile with sealer, otherwise grout may not adhere. It's do-able and absolutely worth it. I'm a stickler for planning and always gather my materials before getting down in the trenches so I'm not interrupting my workflow. I got a lot of good direction when I went to Home Depot armed with my ideas, measurements and drawings. It's definitely a smart idea to talk with the staff because they can help so much more knowing what your project is rather than simply helping you find an item or two. Because they worked with me and led me in the right directions, nearly all the materials used to remodel my kitchen were purchased at Home Depot mostly because they always seemed to be having a promotion, sale or incentive of some kind.

Love the results!!!We just installed this tile as a kitchen stove backsplash. We had never tiled anything before so we started with a small project. We used this tile with the SimpleMat Tile Setting Mat and it was a breeze!!! The process was quick and easy.

The color scheme is lovely, but some of the stones were chipped and slightly broken on the ends. ...The color scheme is lovely, but some of the stones were chipped and slightly broken on the ends. I was not sure if this was a part of the "look", but when seeing your sample I think not. When I purchase the rest for the update of my kitchen I will examine more carefully. Otherwise, the color and texture are 5 stars.
