These mesh-mounted tiles are intended for residential applications and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Install using white latex-modified thinset to bring out the best in the glass colors.

mosaic wall tile as accent tiles
We cut up the tiles into 3 rows and used the strips as accent pieces in our backsplash. It worked out as a terrific option. We love it.

Fairly easy for first timerThe Merola mosaic tile was fairly easy for my first project of this type. Being square helps a lot...and having each tile the same size and on a net-like backing makes it easier than some other tiles. Cutting around electric outlets requires good measurements, but you just cut the mesh backing and that portion of the tile easily lifts out! Following instructions (I went to You Tube and asked a few questions at Home Depot. The results were great. Next project is installing pendant lamps that accent the tile!

At least one of the glass squares has a defect (bubble that touches the surface, making a hole), ...At least one of the glass squares has a defect (bubble that touches the surface, making a hole), and I'm afraid the colors look less red and more washed out in real life - the burgundy is more of an orange.
