Looked great for awhile, but.....
We purchased this for our kitchen back in 2009. It looked great for the past 4 years until I discovered a problem a couple months ago. We've had a floor mat in front of our slider door to our deck each of the winters since we put it down. Never had any problems until this year. When I moved the mat to clean I discovered bubbling on the top of the flooring. Pretty much the entire rectangular area of the mat. It looks like it has blisters all over it. Apparently the water from wet shoes on the mat got the best of it. I was so disappointed. Fortunately I have some leftover that I saved, so I'm hoping that maybe I can replace the area that's bubbled without it being too much of a problem (but I doubt it). In the meantime, I guess we keep a floor mat in that spot to cover it. Other than that, and a few nicks on the floor where heavy items have gotten dropped, I absolutely loved this flooring!
On a side note, the area where the dogs water dish sits, still looks great...the dogs slop water all the time...go figure...

I shopped around for quite a while before finally deciding on this flooring and couldn't be happier with my purchaswe. It is tough, scratch resistant, looks great, has the feel and texture of wood, but most of all it is so easy to install. Before purchasing this product I checked Youtube and watched several videos on installing this product. All the professional installers all talked about how easy it is to put down and what a great product it is. I had a lot of problems with my old flooring, installation was difficult, the finish showed every scratch and it kept pulling apart at the seams and was far more expensive than this flooring. My friends who have seen this flooring have all decided they will be using it for some projects they have planned in their own homes. For the price this product is the best purchase I have made so far on my home renovation and can not recommend it enough.

After only a couple days we had scuffs everywhere from furniture legs and our dogs pads/claws which I do keep clipped. I read the reviews and told Home Depot we had dogs and they said it was a good flooring for kitchen, living room, dining room. It is a HUGE disappointment and I do not recommend this to anyone. it is way to sensitve. The engineered wood flooring with a veneer layer we had before for 14 years with kids and dogs was way more durable. This will never hold up. I contacted Allure and they just blamed our dogs. If you can't have furniture or dogs on a floor without it scuffing everywhere then it is way too sensitive. I tried everything Allure and Home Depot suggested to get the scuffs out but nothing worked. I can't believe others aren't having this issue. I'm not sure what good a scratch resistant flooring is????

who needs laminate?I took a gamble and ordered vinyl instead of wood or laminate. It paid off ! This can't be easier to install. Once first row down, you fly right thru! I had several radiator legs to get around and because it is thin and flexible, round cuts are seamless to the naked eye and easy to flex right over the legs. There is no lingering odor, despite what i read. MOST IMPORTANT: read manufacturers instructions...I had read that people had corners or seams lifting after a few days....the company suggests going over floor with weighted roler....I used the waxy paper that comes between the planks and used that to slide my palm along each seam as i laid the planks. This worked just fine and nothing has lifted. In additon, pick planks from multiple boxes, rather than 1 box at a time. This floor looks just like wood and much more comfortable underfoot. Also, i ordered online and since my purchase was over $249, Home Depot shipped all those heavy boxes for FREE. Can't beat it.....good luck

Great looks and durabilityYear by year we are covering all our floors with Alure. The bedroom is now 6 years old, the living room and halls are 4 years old. They are all in the Autumn Oak. Next will be bath, then dining room, then kitchen. We have three large dogs who have free roaming in the whole house, and we have no scratch damage. The floors are super easy to clean - we broom sweep and vaccum regularly, and damp mop infrequently (monthly). The only incident we had was a dropped coffee mug that chipped and cut about a 3/8" slice into the surface. We used the tiniiest drop of super glue to reseal the under side to the thin diagonal slice 3 years ago and cannot find the area now. In 40 plus years of home ownership, I love these floors above any I have had. I don;t need hardwood, but I love the look, and there is a wide variety of colors to choose. We are very pleased, and installation is so easy, husband, son-in-law and grand daughters did our very large living room in an hour. They had an assembly line and the only slow times were trimming to go into closets.

LITTLE BY LITTLE SCRATCHES STARTED APPEARING ALL OVER THE HOUSE. MY KIDS CANT EVEN DRAG A PLASTIC KIDS TABLE WITHOUT IT GETTING SCRATCED . WHEN WE BOUGHT THE FLOOR THE GUY AT HOME DEPOT SCRATCHED THE FLOOR WITH KEYS AND IT DIDNT LEAVE ANY MARK. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE RIGHT??
SPENT ALMOST 3K , THEY TELL YOU HAVE 1 YEAR MANU WARRANTY. THATS A COMPLETE LIE AND WASTE.
I HAD TO CALL THE STORE I WHERE I BOUGHT THE FLOOR AND THEY ASSURED ME IT WAS DEFECTIVE. STORE MANANGER CAME OUT AND TOOK PICTURES.
ALLURE SENT A 3RD PARTY TO MY HOME AFTER THAT AND IT TOOK THEM A WHOLE MONTH TO CALL ME AND TELL ME THEY DENIED THE CLAIM, THEY SAID THE PLASTIC CAPS FROM MY BAR STOOLS SCRATCHED MY FLOOR... WHAT AM I DRAGGING THEM ACROSS MY WHOLE HOUSE...
MANUF SENT INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REPLACE THE PLANKS AND ALSO HOW TO CLEAN IT WITH ALLURE POLISH!!!
I WOULD RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS FLOOR AND ALSO ALLURE FLOORING. THEY WILL LIE AND NOT KEEP THEIR WORD ON THE WARRANTY.

Beautiful FloorVery easy and very rewarding. Used the 1, 2, 3 layout. To cut it I used a utility knife, scored it two or three times and just snapped it. No problems. Was nervous at first ( I am a 64 yr old Grandma) but I had no problems. My daughter and I laid a floor 27X 20. It took us 15 hrs. Very happy with the finished product!!

Best flooring decision we ever madeWe recently installed this flooring in our kitchen during a remodel. We knew we wanted a wood floor look, but face it, it's a kitchen and the floor's going to get wet. The Allure went down easily, looks great, cleans great and seems like it's going to be very durable. We laid this over the existing vinyl flooring with no problems. Since then, we've done our living room and two hallways. Bedrooms are next. We couldn't be happier.
One thing - very occasionally, you'll find a plank whose corners won't stay down. Easy fix: heat the corner with a blow dryer (try to get a little air under the corner if possible) from above until it softens slightly. In many cases it will lay down perfectly by itself. Otherwise just push it down into place. Has happened to me a few times and this trick has worked perfectly. The corners have all stayed down after heating.
