These ended up being a superior quality spacer in that the thin edge does no break off into the grout joint so easily. They appear to be composed of a very dense plastic, a big plus. Others I have used break off from being bumped or while removing them. Then you have to try and remove the piece with a razor knife and not scratch or chip the tile or stone. Looks like another tile problem solved by a reputable manufacturer of stone and tile products. Thanks Home Depot for the quick shipping and easy in store pick up!!
